What's the issue with making fp+ using MVMCP?

I know some have had trouble using their party tickets to make fastpasses (especially those who purchased their tickets more recently), but all the reports have been scattered mentions throughout other threads. I need something a bit streamlined to just this issue if possible. @hiroMYhero have you figured anything out yet about what is going on?

Here's my scenario and I'm wanting to know what I can expect:

I currently have 9-day park hoppers attached to a free dining pkg that I plan to use for a trip after Thanksgiving. My package begins on a Monday, but I plan to activate my park tickets one day early. For the day we plan to go to the party, we'll be making our fastpasses ahead of time for 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30, using a regular ticket entitlement because I don't plan to purchase our party tickets until after our 60-day mark. We'll purchase the party tickets sometime before we go to Disney though. Here's what our trip will look like:

EDIT: I will only be able to make fastpasses ahead of time for every day OTHER than Sunday.

Sunday: Activate tickets a day early and enter a park (day #1 of 9)
Mon: park day #2 (this is the day we check in for our free dining package)
Tues: park day #3
Wed: park day #4
Th: MVMCP ticket day (will have made fastpasses at 60 days using that park day we used back on Sunday, kwim?)
Fri: park day #5
Sat: park day #6
Sun: park day #7
Mon: park day #8
Tues: park day #9

My concern is, will we lose a day of fastpasses if the system doesn't recognize Christmas party tickets as valid ticket media for the purposes of making fastpasses? I need to know what to expect so I can make a plan.

Thanks!

If you only have 9 days of tickets, you won't be able to make 10 days of fastpasses until you have actually linked the party ticket. But I think you are having an issue with the system accepting the party ticket and I can't answer that.

Exactly. That's why I will only be making fastpasses for Monday through the following Tuesday, so my 9th park day ticket will be holding those fastpasses for my party day until I activate them early and enter a park on Sunday. At that point, I risk losing my fastpasses on my party day if they don't have this technical issue straightened out. See what I'm saying?

When your FP booking window opens you'll be able to book for Park Day #2 through #9 (includes Party Day).

Then, when you have your tickets activated early for Park Day #1, you can potentially lose your FPs for Park Day #9 only if the MVMCP ticket isn't valid for the Party Day FPs.

Which Park for Park Day #9? Which day is AK?

We were going to do AK on that first day, the one where we can't make advanced FP's. Every other time we go to AK it'll probably be a half-day and we won't do fastpasses for it. Have we confirmed yet that MVMCP tickets don't count as valid ticket media for fastpasses or is that still up in the air right now? If they don't count, I'll just have to skip making fastpasses for our party day, I guess. :confused3

We just hit our 180 day mark last week. I have 7 day base tickets and mvmcp tix in my mde account. I was able to make fastpass selections for 8 days.

I think that means they're active tickets for fastpasses?

When did you purchase your MVMCP tickets?

What you can do is this:
- Book for Park Days 2-9 + Party Day
- As soon as you link your MVMCP tickets, go in and book FPs for fake Day #10.
- If you can book that additional day, that means your Party ticket works for FPs.
- Cancel Fake Day #10's FPs

*You won't know until you purchase and link your MVMCP tickets.

The other thing you can do is call and add a day to your Park tickets at approximately $10 per person.

Fantastic idea! I'll try that, thanks!
