What's taking so long to restore power

Hoping for the best for all of you out there still w/o power. I would imagine it must be awfully tough. When these long power outages have occurred here, we've had to pool resources to get through. House A has wood heat, so everyone sleeps there. House B has the biggest generator & biggest freezer, so all the perishable food goes there along with all the gas. Any non-perishable food has long since been removed from refrigeration to conserve as much precious gas as possible. Perishable food is eaten first, non-perishables saved for later, etc etc etc. Hang in there gang, it is tough. But, it does leave you with a real sense of community when it's all over, however tiny that silver lining may be within the current dark cloud.

My mom actually got one for myself and my brothers for Christmas. I believe she got it at LL Bean.

I also like LL bean's solar flash light. We put in the window to catch the sunlight in the morning and it worked great.
