Lunch and a Turtle Crawl at Olivia's, a book poolside (main pool) and then on room patio for a bit, clean-up, boat to DD, cigar & a drink at Fuego, then dinner at Paradiso if friends aren't coming til late!
Where are Fuego's and Paradiso??
Take a trip to DD for a nice meal at Fulton's, then ice cream at G....then call DH (back home) and rub it in.....priceless.
He was horrified and jelous but took it in stride...I will take him in three weeks.
Don't feel sorry for DH, I spoil him rotten.
Paradiso is in DTD on the west side. I would guess that Fuego's is there also.
Ha! My DH and son will actually be camping when I'm away. There will be plenty to rub in...like the ability to sleep in an actual bed instead of a sleeping bag.
Need to know, what dine in theater at DTD? Haven't heard about this yet.
hang around the Gurgling Suitcase, drink the turtle krawls and order wings.
It's an AMC but not connected to the AMC, in fact it's way on the other side of Pleasure Island. They have I think 6 or 8 movies playing! They serve drinks of any kind and also have a good menue from just popcorn, candy to full dinners and dessert!
It's called the AMC 24 Pleasure Island Dine-In Theater, take a peak at the menu on allears.net
I had really good shrimp tacos and my friend had chicken quesadilla's. On another occasion I had brisket quesadilla's. THey have wraps, burgers, panini's, pasta....
Takes movie viewing to a whole new high!
Fuego is right before Paradiso on Pleasure Island as you walk towards West Side, right around the bend after Ragland Road. Paradiso and Fuego are on either side of the DTD DVC Pleasure Island boat ramp ... Paradiso on your right as you walk up the ramp and Fuego to your left. Fuego is the cigar bar sibling of the Sosa Cigar Store over on West Side. Nice tables out front to sit and relax with a cigar and a cocktail and watch the crowd go by!
Yes, I remember that now. Thanks
So here's what I did:
Arrived OKW about 11 a.m. on Magical Express. My studio room in Turtle Pond was ready. So first things first after check-in....a pina colada at the bar. Then I took the internal shuttle to my room to drop off my stuff.
Then the bus to DTW -- man, has that place changed since I was there last, which must be about 6 years ago, at least. Lunch at WPE, then shopping, then the boat back to OKW. I was going to go swimming...but then I decided on a nap. My friend showed up earlier than I thought, around 5:30, so we went to Olivia's for dinner (shrimp & grits, buttermilk chicken) then to the House of Blues porch for drinks and music.
It was a fabulous time!
Thanks everyone, for your suggestions.
Sounds perfect. Enjoy your cruise!
That sounded great!!!
What a wonderful day!!
I second that!!
I love sitting at the bar area at turtle crawl and by the pool. Great atmosphere.
