    Ok,
You just got hired as the President of DVC!!!

What is the first thing you would change at DVC???

Rule ONE: You can only change ONE thing!

Rule TWO: This is for fun, so anything goes! You get a ONE time deal to throw out the OLD rule book.

    Ok, HAVE FUN!!!

I would change the 7/11 rule.
    :D

I would lower the weekend points - but only if reserving for a FULL week!

I would offer DVC members the FL resident rates on park passes :)

I used to wish they would lower the weekend rates, but the more I thought about it, I kind of like having the weekdays be as cheap as they are. If they lower the weekend rates, they'll undoubtedly be raising the weekday rates. I doubt very much that they would change (in reality, not in the game) the overall cost to stay for a week, just redistribute it.

I would DEFINITELY do ONE thing, if I could: Offer an annual parks pass to DVC members at a price comparable to the Florida Residents pass.

    No question.

dtheboys...where are you coming up w/ these things? :) :D Its so nice to see these posts on the boards. Still smiling here but would have to agree. FL discounts to DVC members including passes AND rooms so I could try AKL and Grand Floridian.

Free passes!!! Yep, that would be the greatest incentive for owning a DVC timeshare for everyone.

Remember...I Love to Dream!!! No maintenance fees AT ALL as the maintenance fee is built into the other portion of the resort that is rented to the non-DVC members.

I'm voting for the deeply discounted annual passes. Call them the DVC Gold Passes, and price them 2% BELOW the FL Passholder Rates!! :D :D :D :D

Ok, my vote is that they return the original Food and Fun package from around 1995 for DVC members only. It included 2 meals a day ( appetizer, entree, desert and 2 non-alcoholic beverages ) plus you could do unlimited FUN stuff, like water sprites, para sailing, in fact, all water sports. Mini-golf was also included, but golf was not. It cost $55 per person, per day, and the one time we perchased the package, we were using over $300 worth of "food and fun" a day.

but, I really like the idea of passes at Fla resident costs!!!:D :)

I'd change the park discounts to equal that of the Florida Resident pass structure

I would restrict all park admissions to DVC members only.

Of course, we would get into the parks using our free passes that we get, and Disney would still come out OK because we'd be buying lots more food and goodies with the money we saved because there also were no more maintenance fees.

That would be enough to make me happy. Don't want to be too demanding. :D

Since everyone has mentioned the pass thing, I'm going to say I'd like to see more effective negotiating skills when dealing with the WDW resorts and the cruise line.

This would result in fairer point exchanges under the Disney umbrella. DVCers are really short-sticked on the exchanges, and the changes almost never result in less points for us.

    :( :(  :( :(
