I am curious what time people have been being let in at the main entrance and at International Gateway recently. I think it was around 8:50 for a 9am park opening last time I was there?

Depends. We were they a couple weeks ago and it ranged from 20-10 mins before 9. One day we showed up at 8:45 and they were already letting people in (looked like they had been open for a while), a few days later is was more like 8:50.

We had a PRO breakfast at Garden Grill on 8/31 and the server told us they usually let them 8n around 840. We left breakfast at 840 and definitely by 845 the rope droppers were coming down the ramp to Soarin.

We just got back. We did RD on Monday, Labor Day and they let everyone in the gates at about 8:50am. We were met by cast members from TT and MS and were walked to the rides at about 8:55am. Was designing our car by 9.

I rope dropped at the International Gate on Sept. 2. I was walking towards Future World by 8:45am and was lining up for Soarin' at 8:55 with only on family in front of me in line. As I was walking to Soarin' I saw the Main Gate crowd being held behind the internal rope. The CM had the first 10 people sit front and center without anyone else sitting in the other 2 rows; finally saw a straight Eiffel Tower.

Funny you mention a straight Eiffel Tower. I had stayed away from any reviews or videos as I wanted to experience it in person first. All 3 times I've been on it the past couple of days I have noticed things appear to be leaning. I haven't been in the middle section yet though. Is that the key?

I rode Soarin' several times during our stay, sitting in the middle front row. The only time I didn't experience some leaning was when I sat in the exact center of the front row.

On Friday, Sept. 9th, Rope Drop was 8:45.

We were on the right hand side, second row and boy, did the Eiffel Tower lean!

Same here. We rode it 3 times last week. 1st time we asked for B1. Everything was pretty much in proper perspective. 2nd time we were in B3 still ok but had the feet in view. 3rd trip we were in A3. Had the feet and we all noticed the distortion on screen. Still was a thrill!! If you have the time to wait it is worth asking for B1.
