What items aren't on the Room Service menus?

I know what can be ordered from the menu, but what are some things that you can get that aren't listed?
I know Mickey Bars, anything else?

FYI on our last cruise a family ahead of us was instructed to take these back to their room. I can't remember which port we were stopped at, I think Jamaica. But they didn't want them taking them off the ship. I could be mistaken about what it was they we're talk g about, but I'm pretty sure those wrote the offending object they were discussing. I don't know why......

I believe there has been extensive posting about food not being allowed to be taken off or brought on the ship unless in producer's original sealed packaging.

Were the packages opened? I've heard that room service opens the packages and thaws the uncrustables. Once they are open, they can't be removed from the ship. If they are still sealed, they are okay to take off so you need to tell room service to not open the packages.

I wondered the same thing, but wasn't aware that room service pre-opened them for you. Good to know. After seeing that we were scared to take anything with us for fear of getting "in trouble". I scare easily and even when I am dressed to the nines, when we approach Palo I am still scared that they will turn us away because we have something on we aren't supposed to

I think the "cake of the day" is actually on the room service menu. I did order this once and while it was really yummy, it was the tiniest cupcake I have ever seen!

My DD always orders a bowl of strawberries when we order our nightly All Hands on Deck cheese platter. She loves fruit, especially strawberries, but they rarely have them on the buffet. She also got some raspberries one night too.

FWIW regarding the uncrustables...

We took them off the ship in Jamaica a couple a weeks ago - they were still sealed. When I ordered them the night before the operator asked if I wanted theme thawed (I think that was the term he used) and I said no. So I didn't ask for them to remain sealed, but they were when I didn't want them thawed.

You are correct it is free from room service.

Either the charge was a tip or you requested a speciality coffee such as a cuppachino which has a charge. Standard tea and coffee is free / included in the cruise fare.

Thanks! Glad I didn't have this one hasn't changed as love ordering hot water and making hot chocolate (I bring my own packets) in my room at night with the cake of the day!

We were definitely charged for the tea. I think what it came down to was that after breakfast, it is free from the drink station but not room service. I asked when we settled our account and we definitely had to pay for one of the times that we ordered it. We last sailed 2 yrs. ago, maybe things have changed. I'll find out in a few months !!! woohoo
