Both cheapest and most expensive?
"Best" is terribly subjective and you are going to get all kinds of opinions. You can see all of the menus at www.allearsnet.com
Our favorites are Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House) and Trail's End (Fort Wilderness).
The buffets are all fairly similar in price, but Trail's End tends to be just a bit cheaper than the rest.
Best - Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge

We really like Tusker House and Trails End.
Inside the Parks, I really like Hollywood & Vine. It had very non-traditional buffet items, my favorite was the Lobster Mac & Cheese. I was on the dining plan so I'm not sure how much is was per plate, but It was very yummy! I can't wait to go back in Feburary.
Outside the Parks: I liked Chef Mickey's a lot, the food was pretty standard Buffet but it was still good and warm. The Characters were fun too!
It depends on what you like. I would check out at least one charachter buffet, but if thats not your thing there are many around the "World" that are good. Check out the link PP Posted with menus and see what jumps out at you!
Tusker House - Character Breakfast
1900 Park Fare - Character Breakfast (love the strawberry soup) and Character Dinner
Biergarten at Germany (we do this almost every trip)
Mickey's Backyard Bar-b-que - dinner show with characters
Chef Mickeys - dinner (typical buffet foods)
'Ohanas - dinner (favorite); breakfast is good too
Hoop Dee Do Musical Revue - dinner show
Liberty Tree Tavern - dinner (pretty good, the kids love it!)
Spirit of Aloha Show - dinner (food was ok)
Whispering Canyon - dinner (skillet meal is really good)
Cape May -- hands down, the best and easy to get to from all locations

Chef mickeys bfast
I went to Boma with my DB and his family last year. We all LOVED it!! The delicious soups were my favorite . ^.^
Trails End is a good buffet and "reasonably" priced - at least for Disney.
Boma has a lot of different choices but is probably on the high end for a non-character buffet.
Love Crystal Palace for breakfast. Food is good and atmosphere is bright and airy. Tusker House is in 2nd place. Good food - atmosphere more dark.
Love Boma and Biergarten for different reasons for dinner. Boma for different flavors we don't find at home; Biergarten, well, we're from Wisconsin...'nuff said.
