I used up my lifetime quota for hairspray during the years between 1987 and 1992.
I wish I could forget skinny jeans but people keep wearing them.
Especially on men- just ew. There is a relatively small percentage of the population that skinny jeans look good on.
Couldn't agree more. Yuck.

It's funny...thinking back there were so many fashion rules to follow! no white between Labor day and Easter...if midis or maxis were in, then the other was out. If your jeans were around your ankles, then they were "high water pants" and awful! Isn't it wonderful we can basically wear anything nowpolka dots with stripes...are you kidding me, we would have been laughed out of town for thatThe fashion fad I most want to forget is how unforgiving we were!
The gigantic eyeglasses of the 1980s are the fashion item I'd refuse to wear again.
Skinny jeans and low rise jeans. And the stripper heels that seem to be so popular these days.
Z Cavaricci pants
I love skinny jeans.
I think the worst things are Uggs, pleated front pants, destroyed denim (and any "whiskered" denim), Ed Hardy, Crocs, those shoes with the toes, anything that says Juicy or Pink on the butt, Juicy tracksuits, ... I could go on but that's probably enough for now. (And I've never worn any of these things.)
But again, skinny jeans are awesome.
I have to admit to two--regrettably--please don't judge--lol's
1. The red corduroy platform shoes I owned in the 1970's. Yes, they had red corduroy on the platform part, and on the top the bow was made with red corduroy floral material. I thought I was soooo cool!!
2. My red Sally Jessie glasses that appear in the ALL the photo's with my kids when they were little--WHY didn't someone tell us we looked ridiculous.
What I wish I could wear again--oh yeah, that would be my Calvin Klein's/Gloria Vanderbilt jean. You remember the 'nothing comes between me and my Calvin' era jean--those were amazing!!
Pants/stretch pants tucked into socks with sneakers.
I miss the button-down long shirt with collar with sleeves cuffed up worn over tight jeans. That looked good on me and was so easy and put-together.
I can't remember any fashion from the 90's at all. Why is that? The 70's and 80's yes.
And I LOVE skinny jeans. I wear them all winter. I have about 10 pairs of them.
I had those shoes but in blue!!!! I got them in 74 or 75. I loved those things.
My wish I could forget were the big eye glasses where the ear pieces connected at the bottom of the lens frame. Absolutely hideous.
I think it would have to be the HUGE shoulder pads. Back then I had a tiny, tiny waist (ah, those were the days....) and I looked like a football linebacker. Also, it was the end of the world if I left the house without my purse and shoes exactly matching. I don't miss having to worry about that.
When I was in college I performed with a band, and at one gig during some technical difficulties our guitartist was ironing out, I went into a comedic bit heckiling the hecklers, and I called out one guy dressed in his Cavaricci pants and long sleeve mock turtleneck tshirt with Z. Cavaricci emblazoned across the chest. With hands on hips, in a mock super hero voice I was saying "dah, dah dah dah... I'm Cavaricci man" the crowd was in hysterics, and my 15 minutes of fame lasted for the entire semester, every where I went on campus people (including a couple profs, would put hands on hips and say it...) It was funny because i swear there were maybe 50 people at the "show" but it seemed like hundreds had heard about it...
1970s double knit pantsuits for both women and men-yuck.
1980s matching everything-tops, skirts/pants or dress, stockings, shoes, purse, jewelry
Shoulder pads-I removed them from everything because I'm broad through the shoulders with a small waist and hips. They made me look like an upside down triangle.
Leg warmers and sweatshirts with the neck ripped out. Not a good luck for anyone!
I can't either, except for the grunge look. The 90s seem like an in distinctive era. I am 42 now. Maybe it's because I was in my 20s and not a teen?
Shoulder pads and hammer pants, and those horribly ugly sweaters with all the colors and patterns.
And the worst by far is leggings. Now they can look cute under a nice long sweater however I see most people wear them as pants. Ladies, leggings are not pants and even if you are a size 0- you do not look good wearing them like they are
