Probably again next year, the same time it is this year and last year; the end of August thru September (hurricane season).

Yeah...only that time of the year...incentives to fill hotel rooms in the low season.

I always thought January (after New Year's is over) and the 1st 2 wks of Feb. were as slow as, or even slower, than late Aug/Sept.

Am I wrong? I wonder if there's a possibility that they might offer free dining as an incentive at that time of year?

I think it's more giving potential Guests the incentive to visit during peak hurricane season, much more than a given time period being 'slow', that incites Disney to offer free dining as a draw. Doesn't matter that even most hurricanes that hit Florida are far less intense in the middle of the state than along a coast - it's the perceived condition.
