Getting ready to go on the Fantasy for a Western Caribbean cruise for the first time. We really like the beach and were wondering if there were nice beaches within walking distance from where we will be docked. The Ports are Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Grand Cayman. We leave 13 April. Mostly want to go play on a nice beach and the water and don't want to pay for a beach excursion if we don't have to. Thanks for the info!!!:)

Castaway Cay or if you go to one of the swim resorts in Cozumel.

Your on the cruise we are booked on. Best beach will be when we get to cc. Nice sand and water the water in Mexico was so salty I couldn't stand it. Burned your eyes.

There is nothing within walking distance in Costa Maya. It's not a city.
If you want to go off on your own there you will need to take a taxi.

Anything at the other two? I know 7 mile beach sounds great and will probably take a taxi there(not sure of the cost) but if there is something within walking at Cozumel that is nice then we would be all set. May not even get off at Costa Maya from what I have heard

Lots of beach options in Cozumel. Need a taxi to get there though. About 15-20$ each way. Just a fifteen minute ride. We like Paradise Beach! We will try Royal Palms in Grand Cayman. Doing ruins in Costa Maya so can't advise there. Have a great trip!!!

We went here. It was a bargain, and it was a definite highlight of the entire trip (we were on the 14 night Panama Canal cruise). World class snorkeling too, and the food was delicious. 1 hour massages right on the beach for $25! Avoid the whole touristy port thing where the ship pulls up, go here. We found them on Trip Advisor.

Thanks for the info and Link for Costa Maya. I will check that out for prices to reserve a table and things when I am not on my phone.

Thanks Rob and Sue for the info on Cozumel. I will be checking those out. We are traveling with my in-laws and also friends of ours(family of 4) so trying to get a layout for everyone. You all are a great help!
