DS is currently Lego obsessed. We have up to 4 days in the parks- we've been debating HS, but DD is pretty young for it (she scares easily). Am now thinking 2 days in MK, 1 in EPCOT and 1 day trip to Legoland....

My kids will be 4 (DD) and 6 (DS). Thoughts?

And, also any comments about transportation are appreciated- we are staying on property with Disney- would we need to rent a car or are there other forms of transport? About how long is the trip?

Thanks so much for your help!!!!

There is a shuttle that runs from the outlets to Legoland, maybe $5/person...but you would need to also get transportation to the shuttle. Information should be on the Legoland website.

We went a couple of months ago (DS6) and had a great time. It is a smaller park and a lot of fun. If your son is Lego obsessed, go for it. You won't regret it. Nothing terribly 'intense' at Legoland. There should also be discount codes floating out there (ours was from Pepsi) that the child's admission is free with adult admission pre-purchase.

The waterpark wasn't open when we were there, and that was probably a good thing. We had a hard time squeezing everything we wanted to do in a day, and it wasn't a busy day. The park isn't huge, but we wanted to do EVERYTHING!

    Good luck!

I would also add that there is a Lego store in Downtown Disney that DS6 spent almost 2 hours at last time, mostly building and racing cars out front. Another option would be to hit AK and DTD Lego Store.

Also it is pretty far from WDW to Legoland - about 45 minutes if driving directly. To get to the outlets (somehow - a cab probably) and then wait for the shuttle would be longer. But Legoland is awesome.

Your oldest will probably love it at age 6! We went in February with a 4 year old and 3 year old and were done with the park by 2pm. We got there when it opened. They could only do about half of the rides (or only wanted to do half - scared of roller coasters...) and the youngest was not interested in any of the Lego movies.

Be careful, though. There are Lego stores located throughout the park, so your lego obsessed son will be dragging you into multiple stores the entire day. Be strong! :rotfl:
