Upcoming cruise in may and hoping to do this and save some money to use elsewhere!!!
So tough to decide how to do Atlantis. Can We just do the pools and activities without the slides? My kids are 3&5 so I don't think they're into the slides.
Is everyoen booking CS online orf calling directly? Thanks
just went to check the price for a CS room the first week (one night) of march for me and my 2 kids under 12....
$370 and an 18% resort fee on top of that and a $12 energy charge per person.
this would cost us $473 for a room we wouldn't even be staying in lOL.
Does anyone know if we can just go to Atlantis for lunch and too look around for a few hours when we are there in January?
Yes and no.
There are public parts of Atlantis that anyone may visit, like the Marina Village shopping area and the casino.
To see the aquariums or go into the pool/aquaventure area, you have to purchase some type of pass.
Atlantis used to allow the public to access the great hall of waters:
But you won't know if that's open to the public or not that day until you are there.
Also, there might only be one or two restaurants open for lunch (there are many more places to eat in the pool/beach areas).
ETA: There's a Quiznos, Johnny Rocket's, Pizzeria, and a Starbucks in public areas where you could also get lunch.
You could just not do any slides but it won't cost less. It's the same whether you do the slides or not.
Don't forget the $5 per person housekeeping fee. That'll add on another $15 for ya. Factor in the cost of taxis to/from and the lunch which is included in the DCL excursion. For my family of 4 (my boys are 16 & 15) it wasn't enough savings to get me to book on my own via CS.
Great report. Thanks for sharing. :
Thank you so much for your retailed report, you answered ALL the questions I had and made me feel more confident about doing it this way.
We are a family of 5, I think the rooms only allow 4. I will try to find another family/couple to share the second room with on my cruise
Going on Wonder March 7, thinking of doing this for Nassau day. anyone else on that sailing doing this?
Thanks for the great info I have been considering booking at the comfort hotel now I have more information I might just do it
