According to Steve Soares' site, the Voices of Liberty are currently in rehearsals, which is a serious bummer. My wife was looking forward to finally getting to meet them this weekend. (They still kid me that she doesn't really exist, since the only times she's at WDW seem to be the times they're not performing!)

Any idea how long the hiatus will be? (I'm just wondering - we're only in town for the weekend, so we're out of luck no matter how long or short it is.)

Thanks for any info here.

to me i find the voice of liberty to be a bit anoying. i wish they did their show outside instead of in the hall.

their show is designed for the Rotunda inside The American Adventure, for the acoustics. I've seen them outside, and while they are still amazing, it is a very different experience than inside.

The air conditioning on a hot day is an added bonus ;)

Since my original post, I learned last night that the Voices will be returning *this Sunday*, 30 July. I'm not sure if they will be debuting new performers this week or not, especially since the usual "rehearsal break" comes in May, rather than July.

Naturally, my only chance to see them on this visit, unless someone gives me a free ticket, would be this *Saturday*. So, we have to wait until next time.

(Also, intrep, you can use the "thread tools" menu just above the first post on a page to subscribe to a thread without having to make a post.)

Man you scared me! We arrive next friday and I was afraid I wouldn't get to see them. This is one of my favorite performances and their talent amazes me. I get chills listening to them in the rotunda.

You just keep your chilly rotunda COVERED and we'll all be happier!

No, American Vybe and Voices of Liberty are two different groups. Sadly, the contract with American Vybe was not renewed. I like both groups, but they have very different styles.

Well, what did YOU call 'em?

We were in Epcot 7/26 and instead of voices of liberty they had what they called a country western group.

This is the core of the same group known as "Fiddler's Joy" at Canada and "Spelmanns Gledge" in Norway. The fiddler, guitarist, and bass player appear in all three groups, I believe. I'm not aware that they've appeared at American Adventure before this brief gig.
