Can anyone that has recently visited the VB resort report on the dining updates at the resort? We will be there the first part of May and was wondering about any openings or updates since the refurbs.

DH & I visit Vero each May. Sorry, I can't help you with things to do. This is our week for rest and relaxation. We do just that. The perfect place!

Disneymom 17: We are 2 mature adults...well, most of the time we are mature, who love VB. Love the resort, love walking the beach. If you go straight up A1A from Disney about 5 miles or so on the right is the McLartry Treasure Museum...tiny facility which has artifacts from shipwrecks off the coast of Vero and Sebastian. A film describes the storm in the 1700's and the treasures pulled from the very waters near the resort and up and down the Treasure coast. Very interesting, makes you want to get a metal detector and look for gold! We like to take Capt BoB's airboat tour, so fun and interesting. You can get info at the front desk. Past the McLartry Museum and over the bridge is the fishing jetty. (Access from the left lane into the Sebastian Inlet Park). You can walk the pier and watch the fishermen or fish yourself if you have a license. If you are lucky you might see dolphins and manatees in the inlet. We like to go into the town of Sebastian and walk along the Indian River. Some great restaurants and bars along the river. Some tour boats leave from Sebastian as well. The town of Vero has some nice shopping and Ocean Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. Nothing blood curdling exciting but nice for adults on a relaxing get away.
