It would still show up in Google searches. I find ancient Dis threads on various Timeshares that way all the time.
don't worry too much. I never heard of your company before this thread and there are FAR FAR more positives in this thread then negatives. I knew there was something up from all the opposing opinions.

More certain than ever that we made a great choice booking thru VS for our NYE trip! Rick and Humaira, just remember that it is those of us who are happy customers that are answering questions around here. There are plenty of people that will be sincerely recommending you to inquiring minds.

We had some issues with our rental experience through VS. Because we had such a long trip planned, we had 3 different owners points and 5 different reservations. We didn't have confirmation that we had a place to stay for our last 6 nights because the owners (NOT VS) were waiting until the last minute to transfer the reservation into our name. It was frustrating and nerve wracking and even though VS would reassure me on the phone that everything was okay, I didn't get a written confirmation or pay my final payment for those last few nights. Because we had never used them before, I just kept a dummy reservation somewhere else for the last 6 nights in case something fell through.
However, everything worked out and our reservation was secure for all 14 nights in the end. We got the reservation we paid for (and a killer view) and we saved tons of money by going through VS.
Even though it wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped, we'd use VS again. The savings was worth it, and everything worked out fine.

I knew the OP was not giving all the correct info.
I would have no worries about losing business from this thread. Every other thread on your company has nothing but positive responses. We look forward to booking with you again on our next trip
This was my only interest! I was wondering if the person posting as VSLLC was ACTUALLY from VS LLC. Good to know you stepped in, Rick, and clarified that you weren't a troller messing with a thread. Great to know that you stand by your company as well. I have gotten a couple of quotes from your company and was very happy with the turnaround time.
That being said, it doesn't reduce my hope that OP gets other affordable accommodations soon enough for her trip to take place.
**I would mention that you are probably serving a very very wide customer base from all over the world, and that your website doesn't have any easy mention of booking within certain business hours in order to secure a reservation. As it's been a bit since I've gotten a quote from you, I don't know if this is something that is mentioned in an email - but it could be very very important if someone in California (or Hawaii) wanted to book but didn't realize that you had closed a few hours earlier. Seems like these days, ALL hours are "business hours" for a lot of businesses, so I personally wouldn't expect to have to put down a deposit at a certain time of day. **
I just wanted to "throw my hat into the ring" We returned from a 7 day trip last weekend and it was a dream vacation, we used VS, got a fantastic rate in a 1br presidential and are going to call them in the New Year to book our next trip. I have no personal ties to VS but wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to use them.

I am apologizing for using the word scam. At the time and the way, I was treated on the phone when someone called from your company. Honestly yes, I thought that I had been scammed. I dont feel that you are scamming but your process has some kinks. I also feel that from reading your statement you have not been told the situation correctly. I will not go into further detail because I really want this too end. This whole situation could have been avoided if your employee did not hang the phone up on me. I was quoted a price paid my deposit then a phone call was made to me stating that the price was wrong. All I knew at the time was I had paid a deposit and now no reservation not to mention he told me that since it was so close to the date I would have to pay in full. Then the man told me the reservation had been cancelled and hung the phone up on me when I started to question the situation. I myself was very disappointed over how I was treated and how the transaction was handed and the way I was treated by the man on the phone. I was told it was because they quoted the wrong price. I do not feel now it was a fraud but at the time, I did and I apologize. How would you feel if you booked something over the internet, my credit card was charged? Now Im getting a phone call stating that they quoted the room wrong and needed full payment then when I was questioning why was told no forget the reservation and was hung up on?

Ok. So you think that the room should have been held for the full 24 hours and you are saying that it wasn't. I get it, but it is now a moot point. The bigger issue is that you have stated that your credit card was charged and that they still have not returned your money. The receipt that you received via email is an auto reply. It was generated before your card actually would have been processed. They have said that the transaction was voided before it was processed. That means that they will not need to refund money. Sharing the receipt for VS doesn't matter. What is on your cc statement does. But, please, do not share that just to make a point.
All we care about is that you have not been wrongly financially cheated and that you have a great trip.
And with that, I say, please just end the madness...

So again someone please tell me where I am wrong deposit paid with 24 hour hold paid with in 1 1/2 later confirmed receipt that I paid but no reservation. I would appreciate it if someone would explain this to me.
Im really tired of this too. VS stated that it was on a24 hour hold I paid it asap. I still did not get my deposit back and have no reservation. I must really not understand how the process works. I know I started this thread but I am getting the impression that I am not telling the truth and I am....
AmyC20120, please just let it go and let this thread die. It has been established that Vacation Strategy did NOT scam you. I understand you are frustrated and disappointed, but to be honest, your recent posts do nothing to prove your point. I read in your other thread that you have a reservation elsewhere, so try to forget this and have fun! You will be in Disney World soon and all this aggravation will be (hopefully) forgotten.
This, so many times. If you are still concerned, take it up with your credit company -- forward them the e-mails you got from VS, tell them your concern, and let it go. If there really is a problem, your credit company will straighten it out for you. Please don't post your personal financial information to the Internet, that's like an invitation for trouble!
And if you can't get past this idea that you can't get hurt unless someone else is deliberately hurting you, you are going to end up ruining your own vacation. For your own sake, and for the sake of the kids, pass it on to your CC company, then let it go, call it a lesson learned, and focus on the fact that you now have reservations and you're going to Disney!
