using magical express, but not flying into that airport, just out - can this be done?

My brother-in-law believes that he will be able to use the magical express, and I am questioning that. Here's the story - what do you think?

He is flying into another airport on the panhandle, and staying a few days in Panama City. He is dropping of his rental car at Orlando airport, planning on taking the Magical Express to his resort. Then planning on using Magical Express back to the airport, and flying from Orlando back home.

Can he do this? He will have luggage to deal with, too. One way maybe?

Just make your Magical Express reservation in advance of the day you need to use it.

Also not a problem taking DME one way.

Make your homebound DME reservation on or before morning of the day before check out day. If not already you can do that in person at your resort.

A time saving move might be to drop off the car at Disney (at one of the resorts or at the Car Care Center south of Magic Kingdom and near Richard Petty driving track) depending on where the rental company has an office.

No problem in either direction. As mentioned, he has to reserve his spot. As far as luggage, from MCO to the resort, he'll need to bring his luggage with him. The driver will store it under the bus. He should tip the driver when his bags are returned to him at the resort.

It does NOT matter how you get to MCO..airplane, car, truck, bus or yak. IF you are staying at a WDW owned resort, you are entitled to book a ride on DME. Now..if you arrive some other way than airplane, you will have luggage to deal with. That luggage goes with you, to the DME bus. Then it is handed off to you when you reach the resort. A tip will be expected for this.

Just be sure that a reservation for DME has been made. You are not allowed to just walk up to the bus and get on!!!
