I have an extra ticket for Disneyland and will be visiting WDW in July. I am assuming that I can not use the DL ticket for WDW, but I thought I'd check anyway and see if anyone knows if you can upgrade a DL ticket to a WDW ticket or downgrade depending on your point of view:banana:

Thanks

WDW visits.....4
Disneyland/CA visits...too many to count (my DD thinks I have nothing better to do on my weekends then to take her and her friends to DL, and I happily oblige)

1- Not directly.
2- I have read (from Cheshire Figment, here) that you can "trade-in" a certain value of the DL ticket and use that as payment to reduce the cost of a WDW ticket.
You'd just take your valid DL ticket to a WDW ticket booth or Guest Relations
and they can help you.

This does not work with a DL AP.

Tickets at DL are treated as "straight line" as opposed to WDW tickets which are "front-loaded" for pricing. If you have a valid DL ticket, unused or partially used, you can take it to a Guest Relations Office. They can look it up to see how many days you have used of the ticket. They will then cancel your ticket any apply the unused portion to the purchase of a new MYW (or AP) ticket.

The following is an example with completely made up numbers, as I am not aware of the actual selling price. If you had a five day DL ticket that had cost $200 that is $40 per day. If you had used two days the remaining ticket value would be $120. You would have to purchase, at the very least, a two day base ticket (or a one day adult hopper) to use the $120 and your DL ticket would be cancelled.

If you want to use a WDW ticket at DL they will give you a one day for one day exchange, but you can only do one entry per day and the ticket they give you will be good that day only.

I told you I'd read it!
