Updated Monorail Schedule Question

• Epcot Beam Overnight Closure: 11:00 PM Sundays - 9:00 AM Mondays,
  11:00 PM Mondays - 9:00 AM Tuesdays
  
  
• Express Beam Overnight Closures: 11:30 PM Sundays - 9:30 AM Mondays, 11:30 PM Mondays - 9:30 AM Tuesdays

• Monorail Shutdown: 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Starting 4/12/2016 on Thursdays

• Resort Beam Overnight Closures: 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM Mondays, 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM Tuesdays

So, does "Monorail Shutdown" mean the entire monorail system? I read on another thread that they mean the Express Beam...

We'll be at the Polynesian April 25-May 1, so hoping this isn't too annoying during our trip.

We plan to go to the Magic Kingdom Tuesday, April 26. The monorail seems to be out of the question if we want to make it there early for rope drop. What time do the boats start running? Are there water launches from the Polynesian or should we go to the TTC?

I don't know why this is so hard for me to figure out, but I'm guessing if we were planning on being at EPCOT for RD (walking to TTC from Poly) on a Monday, the monorail won't be running that early? So I'm assuming there will be a bus at Poly to EPCOT?

The bus would be at the TTC. Just like then the Epcot rail goes out of service every night at 11, a bus is always brought up at the TTC to serve those who may be enjoying the open much later MK but parked at Epcot.

I didn't know there would be a bus that could take us back to Epcot after it is closed! So if I'm parked at Epcot and Epcot closes at 11, I could stay at MK until after midnight and still get back over to Epcot by bus? I just want to make sure I understand correctly. Thanks!

Epcot would close at 9, the ttc to Epcot monorail shuts down at 11 and the bus runs from ttc to Epcot until the MK park clears of guests.

I'm confused! I'm staying at the Grand Floridian from April 23-26. So we won't be able to use the monorail to Magic Kingdom? Not doing Epcot.

The resort monorail picking you up directly at the grand flo with the first stop being the MK will be running to pick you up. Here are the hours of the beam ways for your vacation.

I'm going 4/18 so the only beam that is affected is the Express one? Just want to make sure so I don't miss my early Kona ADR!

@CookieandOatmeal The delayed opening for resorts would possibly be your only issue.

Launch boat from WL to MK. Then a launch boat from MK to the Poly. Launch boats start running 90mins to park opening I believe. If not taxi or über.

Watercraft between MK & resorts normally starts 30 minutes before park opening. The schedule on the internal web site shows service between MK & Poly starting at 7 that day (to compensate for late Resort Beam opening), but service from WL starting at the normal time of 8:30.

Watercraft service from WL to CR starts everyday at 6:45am. There may be buses running the route of the Resort Monorail from 7am until the Resort Monorail opens. If not, you could walk from CR to MK and get the boat to Poly.

There is also a bus between WL & MK. I think it starts at 6:30am, but I'm not sure of that.

Just make sure you check that the bus does indeed start that early. Any morning MK bus driver should be able to verify that.

Also, be aware that the bus to MK may not show up on the Bus Arrival board at WL, because that route often runs a dedicated shuttle bus rather than scheduling it on the computer system, and also because the trip is so short.
