(UPD 8/29) Tales of the Tweedles & Other Spazzjazzerit PHM '15 Cupcake Adventures

Well... I busted out laughing by myself at the gym the other night. I got off the treadmill after my run (or ah walk/run combination) and there was this woman running pretty fast on the treadmill and she was running with SPAZZARIT hands!!! I had to go into the locker room because I was laughing by myself and I was afraid that people would think I was strange!!!

I bust out laughing too and my husband thinks I have lost my mind and when I try to explain it to him he finds no humor...I guess it is because we now know each ones personality and can read voice now into the writing!

So does that mean Gretchen needs to be added to the official cocktail count that I am keeping over on my TR?

Let's just say, the amount of wine consumed at the airport when I got bumped may have put me in the lead…but who's counting? (Shoot, you are! )

Quoting is actually easier on this new system than old one. You can eithe rhit the +Quote in the lower right hand corner to quote the entire message or just highlight the text you want and right click..that will give the 'quote' option too. T hen you go to the reply area and hit the "Apply Quotes" (or some wording like that) and viola- they appear.

Expo! TweedleDee (aka Tweedle Bossy's take)

I can already tell this TR is going to be all over the place and hard to remember. I normally journal during a trip so I can look back and remember things that I might not otherwise. I also take a MILLION photos to help me remember. I did neither of those things on this trip! I usually journal when I wake up at 4am and the rest of my party is sleeping...well on this trip we were BOTH up at 2am most of the time, getting ready for races, so I have no clue how much I'll actually remember. Good thing there are two of us!

So, where were we? Ah, the expo! With full belly's and a little alcohol to loosen us up, we headed to the Expo! On the way I had to get a photo of the lifeguard. Are we actually in Florida??? They pool was CLOSED it was so cold!

We headed out front to find our Expo bus! It was pretty easy to find, even for the Tweedles.

It might have been cold, but at least it was sunny! Since it was negative a million back home, I was still happy to not be dealing with frostbite (although the next morning for the 5K, I think there were some runners that might disagree!)

Hey! I KNOW we took a selfie on the bus to the expo, where did it go?? We had the whole bus to ourselves and when we got to Kidani, we picked up a family...which ended up being Jenn, (AJollyHoliday) and we didn't even realize it! She asked us if we were the Cupcake group and we were all so confused as to how someone would identify us! Uh...DUH...big Tweedle ears maybe?!?!?

When we arrived at the Expo, we attempted a shot with our Spazzhands to show our excitement...it was a bit windy, not sure if you can tell?

Expotime!!! I have to giggle at how the palm trees are the only thing indicating we are actually in Florida the way everyone is bundled up! and the WIND! You can see how windy it was...

Good grief, if anyone who has followed my previous TR's was looking for more beautiful photography, you are out of luck on this TR! I honestly didn't really get any good photos at all...but I had a fantastic time, so that's the tradeoff! I did get a few pretty shots of the RunDisney signs.

Dum will hopefully fill in any holes in my memory. By the end of the TR, we'll just be making stuff up because we won't remember anything!

Geez, it looks so darned cold!!! But you are right, since it was a gazillion degrees below zero at home, this still must have felt good! So, did you buy anything at the expo? Or does that come in another update, possibly Nicole's portion? Look at your cute scarf!!! Did you get that there or back home? Keep those updates coming!!!!

Oh yes, purchases at the Expo will be coming up, we spent a bit of time there...a majority of it MAY have been walking in circles trying to figure out where we could find booze.

The scarf was purchased 2 weeks previous (during the Playlist Live trip to Orlando!) at DTD!

So it seems that Tweedle Dee would like me to fill in the holes of her memory. She fails to remember that she is asking this of the very woman who can not remember to make her posts red, let alone remember what she ate for lunch yesterday, let alone remember what was done weeks ago.

Yup, this TR is totally gonna be awesome. In a "Choose your Own Adventure" sorta way! Which may or may not have an ending of me getting eaten by a shark. I dunno.

Expo time! We have established the wind is very windy. And that we took a picture on the bus to the expo that is now lost in Wonderland along with our memories....

Karen was busy taking all artsy pictures and so I went the route of "stick your head in this picture, Dee"



We entered into one hall- name escapes me- the one that is NOT Jostens. And overlooked expo part one. (ok, so it's called Field House- I know this because of Karen's pictures..thank you Karen!)



And now we overlooked the madness



Ok, so that picture doesn't look very maddining....(sp?)





All the Glass Slipper Participants were routed to a separate area to pick up their packets & get their picture taken.





I had a nice old man in running my numbers. By old.. I mean ,he lost all sense of time, space & reality. So I stood there about a year as he carried on a very nice conversation with the guy in front of me about random things in life. And possibly about life's meaning itself. It was very sweet. But not at all on my drinking/shopping timeline.

However, in an old moment myself.. I sat there telling the poor lady that I did order a Glass Slipper Pin. Apparently, for the record, I did not . I had forgotten that. Oops.



And yes, I realize that is not an old man helping me. That is because the lady next to the old man took pity on me and eventually started my paperwork check.

Eventually we went to the picture taking area for challenge participatns where they let us leave our tweedle ears on (squeeee as Karen would say!) for our official GSC picture. #RockingTweedles.

Speaking of rocking Tweedles- we got no less than 900 compliments on the awesome Tweedle ears. Remember Karen "Did you make them?" "Yes". Ha!

Two bibs. Two Tweedles. Moving on......





To pick up race shirts....



Grab some goodies (Karen's pre-ordered race jacket)..and then find some photo ops.

First, a panic at the course I would be running......... argh..that's a lot of miles!!!

We got a text that some people were already sitting at some bar drinking. (ahem..Team TamCam). We still had to head across the red carpet...



Hold up a line with several cameras taking the same picture of Tweedles & Royalty...(common theme)



And finally into real madness. Goal: Drinks.



Well first we went down to the merch area so I could buy the pin I swore I already bought. And Karen strong armed me into a hoody that she said "all the cool people will have". And it's very true. All cool people have this hoody. It's so cool, I'm actually wearing it RIGHT NOW.

And then we decided we were going to buy this for our hubbies:



Karen's sweet husband made some comment like "it should say Goddess"

Moving on........... to what? Oh.. It was around this time (or maybe before or maybe after.. who knows... really...) that I saw two ladies walking around with glasses of champagne. Say what?

So I made Karen walk around the entire expo.. twice... in search of them. #TweedleFail. Finally I asked. And was directed to "back there" as in the general direction of where we had already walked.... turns out.. in true Tweedle style... that we actually walked up to it but turned with our eyes on a different booth..... however... we were here. Disney Princess Beer and Champagne Mecca. So we hopped in line and saw they had PINK RUNDISNEY CUPS. We wanted one. But nooooooooooo... .they only were serving beer in those cups.... and we didn't want beer. So we wandered up to try and wheel and deal where they would pour champagne into our cups. Nope. But finally (we must have looked desperate enough) that they would just sell us the pink cups. Without alcohol in them.. and send us on our way.

#alcoholfail.

But we are determined Tweedles if nothing else. So our goal was to take our new cups up to the bar Team TamCam was in & pour our alcohol into the cups. Sounds like a good plan, eh?

On our way to said bar.. we had Cupcake meeting #2. Team TamCam had tired of their drinking shenanigans and came to seek us out.

We convinced them to come along on our RunDisney Pink Cup Alcohol Finding Mission. So up to the Field House Bar we go... we walk in.. and I'm looking around trying to find a table for us to sit at- I walk over & start arranging seats and next thing I know Karen's dragging me out.

I'm confused. What? There has been no pink cups filled with alcohol. There wasn't even time to look at a drink menu. What is happening? Why am I standing outside?

Truth be told.. I still have no idea. So I will let TweedleBossy tell you why because apparently she is the one who got us kicked out.

And for the record, those cute little RunDisney Pink Beer cups never did see a drop of fermented grains or otherwise....... they are sad.

Ok, still laughing, let me try to explain MY SIDE of it!

Oh and for the record, Rey responded to a picture of my BIB that he was outraged that they didn't put GODDESS Karen, not Princess...but when I sent the picture of the shirt there was NO RESPONSE. NOTHING. At first I thought he just didn't see it. Nope, he was just at a complete loss for words and thought silence would convey how much this shirt was a no-go for him!

Ok, so walking into the bar/grill place. It was VERY loud! I look straight at the bartender (from a distance) and he says something to me about sitting down for 10 minutes?!?! WHAT?? I ask again...and still don't understand him. HUH??? He's pointing to the tables. Naturally I'm too shy to ask a THIRD time what the heck he's talking about! We're trying to find a table and I turn BACK around and glance at him and he's still staring at me and this time he's pointing to the door...OUT THERE. POINTS MORE. What?!?! At this point I'm so embarrased that he's pointing to the door and I STILL cannot understand him that I drag the TamCam girls out (leaving my Tweedle confused and not even out the door) outside! I was so confused but just could NOT ignore that he was motioning for me to leave! Once outside I looked down and realized the pink cups MIGHT have caused some confusion! Right in the direction he had pointed was a cart/walk up bar area where I could see them filling pink cups with beer. It also then finally registered that he had initially said out of beer, won't have more for 10 minutes.

SO, he had been motioning to us to go outside for beer since we had the infamous cups!

I guess he didn't realize we are Tweedles and we were going to ask for a mixed drink in ours!

Even at the 5K ... I was happy it was a drop warmer than I was used to and not covered in snow. So I totally understand your happiness at not having to deal with frostbite.

Nicole, You got a picture of my family and I walking into the field house (me in red jacket, my daughter right purple and my hubby holding her hand) . I bought DH the princess shirt and he proudly wears it, he is such a good sport!

You had me laughing the bar scene, I would have totally been that confused and reacted like that.
