Those were my thoughts too when I was asking Mackenzie what she thought. But then she picked AofA, I'm excited to be staying there so it's still a win for me.:cheer2:
I really didn't want to spend more than a couple of nights there (I hate standing out in the sun or rain waiting for a bus) and I wanted it to be our first resort since we'd have almost the whole day when we get there to explore and take it all in, not to mention eating at Landscapes of Flavor once we got there. Eating at the resort is something we don't normally do other than the first day we're there or the last day before we leave.

GREAT idea about the cards!! I'll start doing that too!! Thanky you! :goodvibes
If you went in early or the middle of May we could maybe have a meet!! :yay:

Thank you for you're input, Jen. But it seems Mackie has made up her mind. :goodvibes
She doesn't normally get too involved in the decision making so when she mentioned the three resorts and no dining on each end was a good idea, I couldn't argue. :thumbsup2

    Thank you Mary Ellen! :goodvibes
I'm starting to lean toward yours and many others brilliant idea of using a gift-card.
I thought it would be harder to come to this conclusion but upon hearing how easy it is and how much simpler it would make our stay, it just makes sense to give up the ghost and take the plunge! ::yes:: I guess I won't have to chew much longer, huh? :rotfl:

I think this may be the only time I could do this many resorts in one trip. With it just being Mackie and I doing the changes it meant that I could get a few more resorts under my belt. I hope to stay at every resort over time, this will help give us a good lead. :goodvibes

I'm sure Art of Animation will be a lot of fun. How much time are you planning on spending in your room?

    I am too. :goodvibes
Not much at all, we'll be staying in the LM section of course. Sleeping, showering, changing, that's about it. But that first day will be the best day to spend there on property since we'll actually have time to explore and take it all in. :cloud9:

    Thank you Michele!! :goodvibes

It's always good to dance with someone rather than alone, although that can be fun too. But in this case, much more fun to do with friends. :dance3:

I promise to get an update in here soon.

Last week was Birthday planning for my baby girl, she turned 13.

And this last weekend and this week have been about school shopping and getting her packed for her summer trip to visit her grandparents. :cheer2:

    :dance3: A little break for Mama!! :dance3:

Ty (my 20 year old boy) leaves to go back to College this weekend and then in a couple of weeks my Mr. Incredible will fly out to visit with his family and bring back my girlie. :goodvibes

I'll actually have the house to myself for a few days!!! :cheer2:

After being in this house with my son for a summer (as much as I love him) I'm ready for a good break from everyone and everything. Let's just say he's left me a bit worse for the wear.

Maybe some of you parents of older kids will understand this....

I have now officially become the dumbest person to walk this earth! That's right folks you heard it here first! :mic:
Hear ye! Hear ye!! The last 41 years of my life have accounted for ZIP! ZILCH! NA-DA!
Apparently, it's a friggin miracle that I can walk and talk on my own let alone breath without some sort of apparatus to help aid me in doing so! :crazy2: :rotfl:

Pat assures me it get's better, I'm holding on to your words of wisdom Pat. ::yes::
I know it's all apart of the age and that he's trying to find his way, but does it have to happen while tromping all over me?!? I just pray to the heavens I didn't act like that when I was his age, what am I saying?!? I was married and going to have a baby the next year at his age!! I guess it could be worse, huh?!? :rotfl2:
Aaaaah, what we do and put up with for our kids. <big sigh> :lovestruc

<starts speaking to herself as she looks at pictures of her children when they were beyond adorable and couldn't get enough of them> I love my children....I love my children....I love my children.....I really, really love my children.

I keep the mantra of it does get better on a loop in my mind. My two oldest are 18 and 19. The 18 year old is much easier to deal with, she tries to get along but I am sure that will stop when she goes to college.:rolleyes2 The 19 year old on the other hand drives me over the edge. There seems to be a constant battle she is never happy with me. I can do nothing right. She has joined the club of if I speak the loudest I must be right club.:headache: My son is 16 and well, I have hope that he will stay the calm, cool, helpful person.

I think we should start a support group. It should be called "Mom's who know more than you think!!"

:rotfl: I think you're right, we should!

Thank you Dan, you're sweet. I saw the pics of your sweetheart and babies on FB today, sooo cute!

Jen, I'm totally with you. I don't know what it is but it's not fun to go through. :sad2:

I've thought the same thing Michele, I pray I've never made my parents feel this way.

    I know! I know!! :dance3:

No worries, I'm "complaining," more with a ha-ha than a true upset. Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about it, but I can still laugh about it. :goodvibes

Now we're finding out from our son that he's lost out on part of his loans, the part that pays for a parking pass, food and his books because his grades weren't high enough. My response.......:confused3

We already pay out for so many other things, car insurance, clothing, living expenses, minus food since he was on the food plan, etc., etc.
It's hard as heck to take a hard line approach to this but I think being knocked down a few pegs by walking to school (he lives close now) and having to work more to earn money for food and books is a good thing. My hope is that it will make him appreciate it more and realize he can't fool around with his grades and expect things to still come as easy as they had been.
This is so hard as the mom, but I think this lesson will be the one to help make him into a man. <Lord willing>
