Two Watercraft Questions

I've got two questions related to watercraft at resorts, one of which I think I already know the answer to. First, is the water-taxi service from PO to DD still operating during construction? Second, (and this is the one I think I already know the answer to), if you rent a boat from one of the MK resort docks, can you return it to a different MK resort dock, or does it need to go back where it came? I'm 99% certain you can't use it to travel from resort to resort, but just thought I'd check.

Can only answer your 1st question. The boat from the PO resorts is running to DTD.

You have to turn it in at the same resort. The only boats you can use for traveling between resorts are the transportation boats.
