I just scheduled my cleaner for the week before I leave so I can come home to a clean place.

Oh can you send your cleaner over to my house next?

Packing is SO EXCITING! I'm 35 days out and I'm resisting HARD the urge to start packing. I promised myself that I would wait this time until I was within 30 days of leaving... So 5 more days until I can drag out the suitcase! (Which honestly hasn't even been completely emptied from the LAST trip...)

Ok I haven't actually started yet, but it's happening this weekend! I think leaving some of the stuff you only use for Disney in your suitcase is very smart!

I just checked it yesterday for my trip. Right now for the whole month of October they're calling for mid to high 80s, and occasional showers. So typical Florida. I assume the last few days of September will be similar!

I have a love hate relationship with online check in. It's so exciting to do and then its's like haha, now you have to wait 30 more days! That weather sounds good to me!

Plus, it just feel better to come home to a shiny clean apartment after having somebody clean up after me in a hotel for a week, haha.

Totally agree! Except we are renting points at the Poly so no daily mouse keeping for us. But that's A-ok.

Hi Kelly! Checking back into the DIS and I can't believe your trip is right around the corner!!!!!!!! I've heard the weather is starting to turn a tiny bit fall like down there. August was H-O-T HOT but thanks to the Hurricane we at least had a breeze most days

Hi Kari! Glad to see you back! Oh awesome, I was hoping for more Fall-esque temps. Last time we were there in Sept. It was still wicked hot, but not like it was in June. I bed August was a sauna. Did you have lots of rain with the hurricane or just a lot of wind? Did you have a good trip? Hope you start your report soon.

Yay for packing time! My plans for my November Paris solo trip - thinking about trying to pack light, but we'll see how that goes, lol!

I've tried and failed several times to pack light for Europe and haven't managed to get it to work yet so good luck! It's the worst trying to haul a heavy suitcase onto the metro and up and down those stairs

Well, funny story - I took a shower before we were planning to have supper, just after I took the puppy after a 5K walk. I was carefully carrying my Kindle and the puppy was "escorting" me downstairs when all of a sudden my left foot was at the bottom of the stairs and my right big toe was still at the top at a funny angle. Sprain, dislocation, and broken all at the same time. I knew I was in a bit of trouble when I could feel lumps that were in the wrong place compared to the other toe. So now I am doing calcium and ibuprofen cocktails and follow up xrays in two weeks. Gotta make sure this little piggy can go to the market for Paris!

I hadn't heard how you'd done it, Donna. That sounds just awful! Hope it heals up really soon so you're all good to go for Paris. When is that trip again?
