I'm getting up at 4:45 tomorrow morning to book the cruise to nowhere. Did the first one on the Wonder in January, 2011 and can't wait to do it again!:banana::banana:

I'm really interested in this cruise. We went on the last cruise to nowhere and loved it. But I just saw opening day pricing and it's over $200 more than what we paid last time for an 11C. geez.

We just booked it and it has gone up about $80 pp then last time. Plus we have to drive further but it will still be fun!

We booked it, but I about choked on my coffee when they told me the price. Forgot for a second that I had said two people and not four. REALLY expensive for two nights. We were also on the first 2-nighter in January, 2011, and that was $458 for two adults in an 11C.

For this, DH and I are both gold, so we booked 1A1C each in a secret porthole 10A and a 9D, and it was almost $1000 for the 10A and almost $900 for the 9D. :scared1::scared1::scared1: (Which is weird. Why is a 9D cheaper than a 10A?) We booked two in case someone wants to come with us, but we'll move DH and DD1 from the 9D to the 10A, but it will still likely be around $14-1500. We could do a lot longer cruise on another carrier for that. Or double it and do a 7-nighter.

We're having a little bit of sticker shock, so we're not sure we're actually going to do it. :confused3 We loved the 2-nighter last time, but $458 was a lot more palatable for 2 nights than $14-1500. I forgot to ask what an 11B would cost, but I'll check tomorrow when it goes on the website.

These prices are ridiculous. Last time they offered the 2 night cruise to nowhere it sold out really quickly. But it was a much more reasonable deal than these prices. I wonder how fast this one will fill up.

Our anniversary is on May 18 and it'd be nice to go on this cruise, so I am going to see what prices look like tomorrow, but I'm with you, if it's just too high, it's really not worth it. Like someone was saying in another thread, for $1400 you could stay for 3 or 4 nights at the Grand Californian.

Well, I'm priced out. Just checked online and for 2 adults in a 11C it's $814. Sorry, Disney, you're not worth it it. That is an insane price. Especially considering in the same search it brought up the 5 day cruise from San Diego to Vancouver for $1000 for a higher category cabin. If only I wasn't married to a teacher and that wasn't the last week of school:(

Hope everyone who's booked has a fabulous time. I'll be watching for IGT/OGT rates, but not holding my breath.

To me, the Grand Californian comparison is a bad analogy. The hotel does not have included food and drink, nor does it have included kids clubs and access to incredible babysitters for only $6 per hour. I do not get adult time when I am at GC, nor do I get the full value of my $1400 because I am in the parks at least part of the time if not all; that's an additional cost either via tickets or APs.

A more valid comparison would be what other cruise lines are charging for a two-night cruise. Now, given how many comparisons there are between Disney's upcharge and other lines, one would think they would be more expensive. I was shocked to find out otherwise.

I decided to go to the most conventionally "cheapest" line: Carnival. To compare the same season, I had to find a 2-nighter in May, which is only out of Norfolk.

2 Nights in May on the Carnival Glory for 4 in an inside stateroom, including taxes: $1225.24

2 Nights in May on the Disney Wonder for 4 in an 11B, including taxes: $1214.80

    HELLO.

Also, no airfare for us and it puts us over to Gold. Count me in!

In the words of Mr. Toad: "We're merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily on our way To nowhere in particular"

We were on the original LA 2 Night to Nowhere. We had gotten in that one when it was dirt cheap. This one, not so much, but still couldn't pass it up.

11-Cs were sold out both when I woke up and when DU tried to move our reservation. We're in an 11-B for the first time. about $40 total higher than the 11-C pricing posted yesterday. An 11-C popped up for a bit this evening, but at higher then our fare.

Is it wrong that I'm already craving Palo Brunch. :)

I guess I need to update my .sig file.

I'm thinking no, since the first few posters started the thread before they'd booked and then bailed when they weren't the rock-bottom prices from 2011. But I also don't want to start a new one because I'm a grad student and therefor unreliable for time devoted to reading every post and keeping the first post updated.

If the first poster PM'd Irish Cowboy, this will be our cruise meet thread. If he hasn't, then we can start a new one and ask for it to be linked to the main 2014 Wonder page

It was posted as a request to the master request thread. Don't know about a PM. Can we unrequest it in a subsequent post?

We booked it also and yes, we got quite the deal on the 2-nighter in 2011. We are paying about $500 more for a lower category room. Plus it is further away so we have to work out transportation to San Diego (maybe the train). Oh well...I have some other friends that booked also so I'm still looking forward to it.

So Erbie, did you decide to keep this one? If so, this will be our third cruise together :thumbsup2

    Hi Everyone!
We're in! We just booked two oceanview rooms on Deck 2 for our family, whatever mixture of family members that will be. We're SO excited, it'll be our 3rd Disney cruise, 2nd time on the Wonder. We have a "Dummy" cruise sitting out there too that we will move around to hopefully something this year. Can't wait to see her in San Diego!!:cool1::cheer2:

We're in too! Family of four, we didn't know about the cruise in 2011 so anytime it's less than $2000 were happy. Plus this will be our fifth Disney cruise...so hello GOLD status!!!
