The season's second tropical disturbance formed Sunday about 150 miles East-Southeast of Melbourne, and 100 miles Northwest of Great Abaco island in the Bahamas.

Maximum sustained wind is at 35 MPH with higher gusts. The storm is expected to intensify into Tropical Storm Bret over the next 12 hours.

The storm will drift slowly over the next couple of days. So far, no warnings or watches are in effect for Central Florida.

Tropical Storm Bret has formed in the Atlantic Ocean near the northern Bahamas.

Authorities in the Bahamas issued a tropical storm watch for Grand Bahama and the Abaco Islands. The storm isn't expected to approach the U.S.
