Okay stuff just got real! That actually isn't that long to go really! It will fly by! Love the Magic Bands! Do you get yours delivered? We "foreigners" don't get our till we arrive Are you gonna decorate them? Its all so exciting!!!

It probably will fly by! I'm in bed a lot (that just doesn't sound right ) so sometimes time slows to a crawl and other times it goes by lickety split! I was going for the green Magic Band, but the teen wanted it so I went with pink. Yeppers lol we will probably paint them, or do the temporary tats on them at the very least! I'm sorry you don't get you until arrival! Have you extra bands at home that you can customize?

This my friends is pretty much me at Disney, except of course the walking part. Otherwise the very same even the bow , oh who am I kidding , I go to the Parks with wet hair most days , but I do wear a skirt so that has to count.

There are sooo many things to do at Walt Disney World that we have never done, so I thought I would stea--keep a running list from all of my friends and actually DO some of the things this time 'round!
These are my current Wishlists!
Wishes ~ Hope to watch without a drunk dude/dudette falling on me...again. This is why I light up my Wheels like a Christmas tree now! I have yet to see a fireworks show or parade, but I hope to change that!

@tarak Oh how neat! What did you do at Disneyland? I LOVED it when we visited, and he had a lot more fun than he expected! He told me last night that he had gotten somewhat jaded about DL and really was surprised by how much fun we ended up having! I thought there was a very different magic in those parks, but would defiantly go back! Disney World is my dream home though! We had a fantabulous honeymoon there 16 years ago, and it has been my favorite place since!

That is really cool about your friend, does he still do much lettering? I wonder if he and Pete know each other?! Comics is an odd business and in some ways very insular, but that also makes things like Comic Conventions feel like family/friend reunions in some ways!

My friend is Dave. He looks like a pirate and is one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet. He has some pretty hilarious old photos from back in the day when he worked for Marvel.

I worked in the wardrobe department at DL. Mostly helping the specialty acts, like the bands that played in Tomorrowland. Once, though, I got to go up into the Matterhorn and help Tinkerbell get dressed to fly across the sky. And I got to stay and watch the fireworks. It was pretty amazing. I really want to go back some time and see all the new stuff (including the new park). When I moved from California, Splash Mountain was the "new" ride. The first time I went to the Magic Kingdom, I was totally confused about where things were (and I still think Pirates is better at DL). But now it's my happy place. We have another trip planned for next January and we might spend a few days at US first. It will be weird. But my oldest is all about Harry Potter right now and I think the other kids will love it, too.

Oh - remembered something I forgot to post first. I have a dear friend who was finally diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome after years of struggling with symptoms that her regular docs couldn't make sense of. You've had a lot to deal with but have an amazing sense of humor about it all.

Almost forgot. Here's a primer on multi quoting that I'd written for someone else.

1. Click the <Reply> button.
This immediately takes you to the reply window with the entire message copied and ready to be commented on.

Type away then click the <Post Reply> button when you're done.


2. Click the <+Quote> button.
A window will open up briefly with the following message:
"Message added to multi-quote"
You can keep doing that for as many messages that you want to reply to.
If you add one by mistake, you can always remove it by clicking the same button.
It will have changed to <-Quote>
When you're ready to reply, go to the reply window where you'll have a new button that has shown up.
Click the <Insert Quotes...> button and a new window will open and you can click <Quote These Messages> and all the messages will be put in the reply window.
Or you can individually remove any you don't want.
Just remember that the entire message will show up in the reply window (although it will appear in a condensed version with <click to expand> when posted.)

3. This is the easiest one.
Using your mouse, simply highlight the word, sentence, paragraph, picture or whatever you want.
A small bubble will open up below the highlighted section with <+Quote | Reply>.
If you only want to reply to this one highlighted section, click <Reply> and it'll pop into the reply window.
If you want to comment on other things, just keep highlighting and keep clicking <+Quote> instead and when you're ready to go, go to the reply window where you'll have a new button that has shown up.
Click the <Insert Quotes...> button and a new window will open and you can click <Quote These Messages> and all the messages will be put in the reply window.

Long winded response, but it's step by step.
Once you've done it a couple of times, you'll see that it's really easy.

The joys are parenting huh? They sound like they will look awesome! I don't have any bands they last time we went it was pre Magic Bands. But I might take some glitter nail polish and do it when we arrive! You will have to post a pic of your bands so I can live vicariously through you

They are a pretty whacky wonderful group of people to call family and I'm grateful for each of them!

BOG is amazing I have eaten in the West wing and the Ballroom and both are so cool and detailed. Only thing is the West wing is dark.

Sounds like wishes that came true! How fantastic that you did all of that!!! Did you and do sew a lot? Was that part of the job? How long did you work there? I'm hoping Tinkerbell still flies across the sky as I've never seen it except in video.

Love Splash Mountain! Okay I thought Pirates was cooler and more intricate in DL as well! It was absolutely the neatest them ride there, and it blew me away! Eager to see how the one at WDW compares now, as that was the first Pirates that I saw.

Thanks very much for that. Some days I handle it better than others. At the moment having a love hate relationship with my Wheels. Lol. Hands hurt too much to push them, but I hate to be pushed in my chair. Stubbornness is getting the best of me.
How is she doing? Does she have good care now? I'm so glad she has some answers finally! EDS is a weird beastie and affects each of us in vastly different ways- with a few commonalities of course.
Humor is a way of life and the more of it we have and share the better life becomes. Thank you very much for being here I really like reading your thoughts!
