    Hi all,

I returned from a 5 day 4 night trip last night and I had a fantastic time with my wife and her parents. We stayed at the CBR and everything from busing to accommodation worked out great.

The new additions to the Magic Kingdom are very nicely done. The fit and finish in the new part of fantasyland as well as the circus area are top notch. Also the Tangled themed bathroom area is by far the nicest in all of WDW.

Over at Epcot its always nice to see the topiary's and again this year as in years past they do great work. I think my favorite was the Monsters Inc this year.

The gear I took with me was:
    Canon T2i
    Sigma 17-50 2.8
    Sigma 10-20
    Canon 70-200 IS f/4
    Benro Travel Angel Tripod
Hoya HD CPL, Hoya 9 stop ND Filter, Shutter Release Cable, Rocketblower, several memory cards
    Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home.

I said this in another thread but it gets very tiring carrying alot of gear in the parks. I mostly had my camera on a black rapid strap and the other lenses in the bag. The tripod only came to the parks on 2 nights and when I had the tripod I took out the 70-200 and the flash to lighten the load.

Like many of you I came on this trip mostly for the rides. Photography is a hobby but a hobby that I am becoming more and more serious about. I took about 900 photos on this trip (alot of bracketed exposures) and I am in the process of going through everything now. Over the next few days I will keep adding some more images to this thread and check my flickr page for others.

I found shooting anything with neon at night very very difficult. If anyone has tips they could share about that I would appreciate it.

    Here are 2 photos

Constructive criticism is welcome. If anyone has questions about upcoming trips I may be able to help.

How much did you use the 70-200? What shots required it?

Very good question. I didnt take it with me any nights i went in the park. We usually we be at the parks for rope drop and stay until about 2 or 3. Then go back to the room for an hour or 2 to recharge. At that time i would take out the 70-200 and add the tripod.

I used the 70-200 for the safari (did this on 2 different days), I got some get shots of the animals (tip- be on the left side of the truck). I also used it at Epcot on Friday afternoon. The sky was overcast so i used it for some tighter detail work, even some portraits.

I would say the safari required it for me. Day Parades would have worked well with it. I am not sure anything else required it. Just depends how tight you want to get on shots.

I will try and find some 70-200 images later. I will say this, the color that the L lens produces is fantastic.

Did you use a polarizer or get the good fortune of such blue skies?

I have a CPL but did not use it at all on this trip. A few of the images i posted are HDR shots which accounts for the sky's. On this trip the sky's we very blue but there was some tweaking in post processing with lightroom. I also use the Nik Complete Collection software and one of my favorite filters in Tonal Contrast.

thanks! I am going through them little by little. I think when all is said and done im going to have about 80-100 that i am happy with. I am trying to post the images I am really happy with.

The story behind the hat shot is on flickr. It rained a little that night and I was able to get a good shot with not that many people in it. When i was in the process of taking one of the shots from that location a family came up to me with a photopass card and asked me to take a picture of them. I was dressed in shorts and a tee shirt and my wife was standing by my side. Not sure how i was confused but a photopass guy other then having a tripod. Made for a funny moment.

off topic but in another thread you asked about a messenger bag. This trip i used a crumpler 6 million dollar home. I also own the 5 million dollar version.

Sometimes it feels like 90% of my landscape post-processing is the sky. I finally got around to creating a lightroom pre-set.

I want some software engineer to create software that just does auto-correction of skies -- How hard can it be for a computer to isolate the sky from the rest of the photo, apply automatic corrections... or give the option for a "substitute" sky if it can't be repaired.

This is going to be my final image post on this thread. All future images i am just going to place in existing photo threads.

I just wanted to thank you all for looking at the images from my most recent trip.

My image of the "Chinese Theater" made Flickr Explore yesterday. Its the 1st image i have ever had on Flickr Explore. Very exciting!

I am going to add it to the Canon thread.

Also, I am going to continue to add everything to me Flickr Page. The link for that is in my signature at the bottom.

I am still going to be on here all the time I just don't feel i should have a dedicated thread for my pictures when there are so many talented photographers on here.

Oh please... go ahead and dedicate a thread. Not like it blocks anybody else.
