Hi. We are going on our first Disney cruise in November. :smickey: It is me, DH, DD (6) and DS (1). We are flying in and out of FLL because the rates were much cheaper than MIA. On the way home, we arrive in port on Sunday but are not flying out until Monday from FLL as it saved us almost $200 per ticket. So we need a hotel for Sunday. We are looking for recommendations for a FLL hotel that will have a nice pool for the kids and possibly close to the beach.

Also, we are using SAS for transportation from FLL to POM but I am not sure I can use them for the way back because we will be going to the hotel and I see that they have a limited list of hotels that they will service. Can anyone recommend any other transportation companies? Thanks.

We're on the Magic thanksgiving sailing and will probably fly into Fll. I haven't figured out transfers yet but I am really interested in Loews south beach if we fly in early enough the kids can have beach time. Holuday inn fll and Hilton garden inn Fll might be good options if arrival is later in the evening.

I used SAS from a hotel in FLL to the Port of Miami in April 2015. The price was $15.00 per person and they picked us up from our hotel in a brand new limo like van. It was a shared service so we made a few other stops to pick up ppl along the way. We stayed at the Cambria Suites in FLL it was new at the time and had only been open for a few weeks prior to our stay. They had a nice pool and a great free breakfast buffet. After our cruise I used SAS again for $15.00 person to take us to the MIA airport.

Cambira suites is located in FLL near several other hotels. Granted it isn't near a beach; there are several dining and entertainment options within walking distance.

When we cruise out of FLL or Miami we like to stay at the Gallery One (Double Tree) hotel. It is about 2 blocks from beach, has a decent pool, and is a stop on the water taxi. There is also a mall grocery store, and starbucks about a block away for any last minute needs. I don't believe SAS picks up from this hotel though. We used another company, which name escapes my mind. If you "cruise" over to cruisecritic.com (think disboards for cruising), they have a departure port thread with tons of info. for FLL/Miami.
