    1- alexandra leaving -Leonard Cohen ... My fave song ever
    2- the boxer... Gosh this makes me sad

    Not sure about 3 yet

    ETA: i'll put Send in the Clowns as #3. Sad and reminds me of my gma. We actually played it at our wedding reception

    Sorry that site lost all credibility when it attributed Haalelujah to Jeff Buckley. Le sigh!!! :(

    Also editing to add what someone else has mentioned: Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Definitely.

    Maybe they meant the Jeff Buckley version was the saddest??? Being that Jeff Buckley referred to the song as an ode to the orgasm not sure I'd put it on the sad list. Lol
