if we payed the whole amount for DVC would we have anything to deduct for taxes? We wouldn't receive a 1098, right?
    Thanks

No question is dumb! If you paid in full then you did not pay any interest to DVC -- you won't have any interest to deduct so you won't be receiving this form.

If you purchased in 2003 and received a dues statement in late December/early January with the amount of dues payable, it also includes a breakout of how much property tax you paid in 2003. You probably can deduct this from your taxes.
