HELLO everyone!!!
we are back from an AMAZING trip!!! this was the best yet! We just keep getting better and better at this Epic adventuring thing.

I am Swamped at work and need to catch up. once i have a minute i promise to give you a sneek peek of ALL the fun stuff you will be reading about!!!

Raven is well.. a naughty puppy. I will get into her later... she is something else!!!

I am slowly getting caught up around the dis while getting work done!! I am that good with multi tasking!

Yep we made it.. Yes there are scratches-bruising- and a lot of laughter. I really hope you find this as entertaining as we do. We find ourselves very very funny...

A bit of a background in how these started: Suzi did it... Long story short we all were Dis friends just like you all reading this.. somehow we started chatting a lot more. Then Suzi contacted me asking if i would be interested in going to MOA (Mall of America) and have a great Dis meet! Of course i jumped on it!!!
Then the thoughts started. GOOD GOD What am i getting into? Are these people real? I have watched TV and all the scary things that happen out there!!! eeep! Thankfully Suzi is a real person followed by D~.. YAY! we are not going to be killed in some back woods shack!

Our trip was from June 3rd - June 7th. D flew into Chicago Midway to meet up with me then fly out to the island of MAINE together!!!
I was so excited to go. I was searching and researching all things Maine and the pictures i would have!!! could NOT WAIT! Suzi would tell us or post pictures of things we would experience which of course made us even MORE excited! Just being together would have been enough but the things we would see! Oh my!
D can tell you her morning... She was the first one too start the trip
Me? I took a half day on June 2nd Why??? Because i still wasn't packed...


yeah yeah i know it's a thing with me...


so i left work drove straight to the nail salon to get a Mani and eyebrows done! It didn't take too long and i had wocka wocka colored nails!!! Sorry no picture i was in OVERDRIVE this day!
Went home and started the asinine task of packing. by the time the kids got home i had all of my electronics cleaned charged and packed (you don't understand what a HUGE task this is!!!)

By the time the kids got home i had to stop - help with homework! next thing i knew it was time for Meg's game. so off we went! the boys brought their homework to finish out watch Meg fiercely take the field.. or the catchers position...

I believe they did win.. i can't remember!! Geesh...

back home Dinner done it was time to do the mad dash of packing. (again)

I had most of it done before i collapsed for the night. the next morning was going to be hectic!

that's all you get today.. took a while to get caught up with work and i have about 1000 more pictures to edit... I will slowly be getting them done so i can post them!!!

Ya know Normally i am NOT! I don't understand where this is coming from! Usually i have everything packed the weekend before i leave!!! This time i have the excuse of working the other job ALL WEEKEND long and was called in on Monday before i left. so i really wasn't home long enough to pack!

Honest to goodness i normally don't!!! Yet this time i was working job #2 everyday! which meant NO packing!!! plus i had to do laundry! LOL!!!

The Midway Meet Up​

I woke up bright and early, feeling like i am on cloud nine today is the DAY! I get to see my Best Dis buds!!! AND i get to escape the crazy dog!!! I quickly got ready so i can pack my flat iron and makeup- bounded down the stairs for COFFEE!!!
I was able to snuggle with my kids--- I knew i was going to miss them like crazy. I HATE LEAVING THEM!! But this is also healthy for me to get away once in a while... <-- well that's what i tell myself..

Coffee done. Do a quick check in with D and Suzi, D is on her way and by the time i get to Midway she should be there! YAY.
Drop the kids off at my Mom's so they may go to school ON TIME. a tearful see ya real soon and off we went.
took the side streets over because i knew the expressway was going to be a nightmare. and of course. CONSTRUCTION! we have two seasons here in Chicago. Winter and Construction. neither one is pleasant.
D was already at midway and i was in traffic.. It was high time to kick it into high gear and get to D!
In no time at all i was pulling into Southwest drop off! baggage checked (curbside LOVE THIS) 40 pounds of luggage gone. carrying my electronics in my awesome backpack and my Vera tote i wandered into security. Line was long -- thankfully it was moving. Especially knowing there was a threat the day before, this could have been an udder NIGHTMARE! Text D telling her i was in line and see her in a moment.
Of course it wouldn't be a Dis meet without the SECURITY!

HAPPY security! i wasn't going to be silly today.. again there was a threat the day before and i know boundaries... sometimes...
All my crap back together i went in search of D~ i see her looking around -- I am a ninja.. was able to sneak up on her and whisper BOO.

after squeals and hugs we had to take the obligatory selfie!!!

My hair was being weird hence the what the??? look on my face! LOL!!! it was sticking up everywhere!!!

anywho...

I was in desperate need of JAVA!!! grabbed one then sat talking a mile a minute since we are FINALLY together and will have our third in just a few hours!!! we had a bit of time before the flight so we decided to grab a bite to eat--



this is one of my top places for a burger... sadly it was still breakfast time! I had a order of BACON ham and sausage patties. D had some omelet which looked AMAZING. want to see a picture???



to bad! we ate it before the we had a thought of taking a picture so you all get an AFTER shot!


oh wait:


there is the bread that D nor i would eat!

after eating we did a little shopping for Suzi's Husband Bill. we got a Capone tee and a travel Mug.

we killed enough time and was our turn to start heading to our gate!


See that Chapstick? ya know how much i paid for that generic thing??? 3.00!!! i kicked myself for forgetting mine!

D was ahead of me in boarding so she was able to grab seating.

the woman sitting next to D had a bit of germ-a-phobia.. She was CONSTANTLY using hand sanitizer!!!

I needed to take a better picture of D so.... I did and wanted to soften it up.. this is what my phone told me

it wasn't a bad flight at all. we were just anxious to get to Maine so it felt like forever to get there.
The one thing D and i were looking for was the ocean... ya know what? There wasn't one! Suzi Lied all these years! there isn't an Ocean! No island of Maine!!! NOTHING just these 'hills' and farms... Where is the Ocean?

You called that right about Chicago...Winter and Construction! It's gotten ridiculous to tell you the truth. It takes 45 minutes to get somewhere that normally takes 15 minutes.
