What a yummy looking dinner! Oh no, here comes the reason behind the title.

Loved the AP video, Lessa! I don't remember the show, only the color change, I remember being a little underwhelmed, so maybe it's new! Jordan, do you remember?
Glad you liked the video, it was one of the better ones I found and I thought people might like to see how the change happens.
My cell phone alarm went off at the way too early time of 5:15am, my throat was still aching. Mom and I had set the alarm that early as we wanted to try and see a sunrise at sea and we also wanted to watch as the Magic approached Tortola.
Not really caring about my appearance as I would get dressed properly later I threw on some clothes randomly, grabbed the camera, and made my way up to deck 10.
There was only one other person up there to take pictures and watch the sunrise. There were a few teens hanging out in the sports area and they looked like they had been there all night. Where are their parents?!
I started snapping pictures of the beautiful pink sky right away.
It was really windy so Mom and I headed down one deck for a bit more protection.
I got frustrated with the obstructed view so I went back up to deck 10. This is when disaster nearly struck!
As I said it was really windy and it was whipping my lanyard around pretty good. Well stored in my lanyard were my Key to the World card and my drivers license. I had one of the open pouch lanyards so the wind sucked both of those cards right out and they went flying! I thought for sure they were lost to the sea. I started to panic. Luckily one of the people nearby were able to put there foot down and trap one of the cards before it blew overboard, the other one however had gone right over the railing and was definitely floating around in the ocean somewhere. Luckily for me it was my drivers license that was saved, the Key To The World card is easily replaced.
So after saying thank you many times to the wonderful person who saved my drivers license from its watery grave Mom and I headed down to the guest services desk to get a new key card issued.
I had to take pictures along the way though!
It was super easy to get my card replaced and we had a good laugh about what a close call that was. I handed my cards over to Mom for her to put in her lanyard which had a pouch that zipped shut, no way the wind was stealing anything out of it!
The beautiful interior of Lumiere's with the ball room mural and the rose lights in the ceiling.
New card in hand it was back up to deck 10 and the front of the ship to watch our approach, it was getting a bit more crowded up there as people started to wake up but still not too bad.

Mom and I decided to make a quick run down to Goofy's Galley to grab some fruit and then made our way back to the room to watch the rest of the approach from our verandah. This is when we saw that the yummy Stollen Bread we had eaten at Palo was also available at Goofy's, it just didn't have the cream and berries to accompany it.

We are offshore of Tortola now, just making our way to Road Town where the ship docks.
As you can see it was pretty cloudy and overcast but the sun was trying really hard to shine through. I love how lush and green the island looked with the sun shining down on it, I prayed that it would clear up and be a beautiful sunny day. Would my wish come true?

Beautiful pictures Lessa.
Glad you were able to save your drivers license
What a pain that would've been trying to get home thru the airport. Thank goodness your DL was saved
Beautiful, peaceful sunrise. So many clouds.
Yep! Although I had just renewed it so even if it had been lost I would have had a new one arriving in the mail soon after I returned home anyway. It would just have been a pain having to use my passport as my id for the rest of the trip.
Well I still had my passport which was safe back in the room so the airport/border would nit have been a problem but it would have been a pain carting it around as my id for the rest of the trip, plus I would have been super paranoid about losing it!
Very nice pix! I bow down to you that you got up that early!
It looks so peaceful at the time of the morning!
It was a real struggle! I am not a fan of waking up early and the only time I manage to do it without moaning and groaning is on vacation. Although waking up early was probably not the best idea considering I was starting to get sick.
It was great, everybody was still asleep so it felt like we had the whole ship to ourselves.
I applaud your effort to get up, impending sickness and all.
That's why I like to stay up late into the night. It's sooo peaceful and you really do have the whole ship to yourself!
Well anything for some good TR material.
I get that. Did you ever find yourself thinking during your trip.."Oh, this is going to make a great story for the TR?"
All the time!
Oh wow!! Thank goodness you didn't lose your driver's license!! YIKES!! Your pictures are beautiful!!
Thanks! I was so grateful that that wonderful person was quick enough to stomp down on my license to keep it from blowing away.
Yikes! That's scarey that your cards blew out - glad your license got rescued! I'm so excited to see your Tortola pics - it has such a sound to it - "we're going to TORTOLA!" Can you hear the pirate emphasis in my voice?
