October.... hum... I think someone has a birthday in October
Maybe I will get a promo code, I sure hope so! I am hoping that they will extend free dining through October, I would like to go back to Disney in October, never been at that time of year...
Your Canada pics are amazing . Also glad you liked Chef's De France. Remy is just adorable! Thomas wanted to take him home.
Happy Birthday!!! Someonein October
Mom loves Remy so that is probably one of her favourite pictures from the trip.
Are you signed up to receive offers from Disney? You should go to their website and order a Planning DVD and click the box saying you would like to receive e-mail/mail from them to make sure that you are in their system.
I would have liked to get more exterior shots in Canada but the rain just made that a bit difficult. I really should have bought that waterproof camera.
Hi, Leesa!! Great update!!
I agree with you about the Canada film! I loved watching it last time we were there. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely makes me want to visit Canada sometime! We've not seen the France or Norway films, so I'll make sure to skip them now that I hear they're boring!!
I'm SO jealous that y'all got to see Remy! He is so cute, and is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, when he stops coming out is like a week before our trip...Just my luck!!! Chef's looked really good. I'll have to put it on my list of restaurants to try in the future!
Yep, I have ordered the druise line dvd and park dvd...plus I clicked yes in the box, maybe I will get lucky! LOL!
I definitely recommend skipping those two films although if you are feeling frisky I hear that the France movie theatre is a good place to go hang out.
Good luck! It looks like a general free dining code may be coming soon anyways as I see free dining is now available until December for Disney Visa holders.
Another fab update with fantastic pictures, Lessa! I didn't mind the Canada movie (love Martin Short!), but it was a little blah, I thought. I'm so jealous that you got to see Remy!! He'll already be at Disneyland CA by the time we get there (we miss him by 7 days ). Darn that rain! I hope it goes away soon!
Looking forward to your next update
Wow, that mac n' cheese looked like it was to die for!
I love the Canada movie too but I've only been able to watch it on you tube. Circlevision makes me feel ill.
I guess not everybody can like it! Really I just love it because of the song, I think it is great.
Let's just say the rain continued to be a constant annoyance.
It was! One of the best mac and cheese dishes I have ever had!
When I watch Circlevision I just focus on one area instead of trying to see everything otherwise it would probably make me sick too. Even Philharmagic makes me sick during the Aladdin scenes.
I've just caught up on your trip report and wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading it.
Thanks! Stick around there is lots more to come!
After dinner we decided to call it quits and started to head out of the park. We did grab a quick photopass picture before leaving France.
It wasn't raining and the ponchos had dried out during dinner so we packed them away, figured we were safe from the rain until we got to the car and would not need them.
We were walking by Spaceship Earth so I dragged Mom on that before leaving. I had a lot of fun creating "our future". Now they take your picture as you are climbing the hill, Mom knew this because we rode it last year and I also reminded her again this year. Well once again she did not smile for the camera and ended up with a bad (she looks bored) picture. I died laughing when it showed up on our screen.
When we got off the ride we played with some of the games that they have in the exit area which test your memory and reflexes. We also sent Alek and Erich some e-mail postcards.
Alek said that he only got the one with the surfboards.
The night was still young and the rain was holding off so Mom and I took the opportunity of returning to Downtown Disney. Mom wanted to check out the Cirque du Soleil gift shop and she was also going to buy me an early birthday present.
We parked out on the West Side and browsed around all the shops over there. I spotted Wetzel's Pretzels but I was way too full to even contemplate getting the pizza pretzal I had planned on. Oh well, next time!
We passed the Characters In Flight balloon that Mom had wanted to go up in, guess that wasn't going to happen this trip. We should have done it that first day we arrived and went to Downtown Disney. You live, you learn.
We then walked through Pleasure Island to get to the Marketplace. They had a DJ playing music and he was announcing a dance party that was going to be held in an hours time. Downtown Disney and especially the Pleasure Island area were packed this night.
We made it over to the Marketplace and went over to the new T-Rex restaurant to check it out and look in the gift shop. It was packed in there, and loud! There was a line of people going out the door waiting to check-in for a table. The restaurant looked really cool but I am kinda glad I canceled our reservation here. I think we'll try eating there in a few years once the hype and novelty have died down a bit.
Since we weren't trying to eat there we were able to walk right into the gift shop. They had a really cute Build-A-Dino area (same as Build-A-Bear but with dinosaurs). As you can probably guess it was busy back there, big hit with the young and old alike.
I bought myself a neat cheap little nick-nack for my desk. It is a gemstone tree sitting on a crystal. Very pretty and the right price, under $10!
Alek is that you?
Our destination was the Tren-D store. Mom was going to buy me the Tink pillow I had been lusting over for the past couple days. It was going to be an early birthday present for me. (PS My birthday is Thursday, presents are welcome, Disney gift cards would be best, PM me for my shipping address. ).
And here's my pillow! Isn't it pretty!?
Mom also bought a few things in the store. We had the cashier double bag the pillow as it was starting to rain again and we did not want it to get wet.
We wandered over to Goofy's Candy Company because I wanted to get some pretzel rods made but they were crazy busy in there so I passed as I did not feel like waiting around.
My feet were begging to go back to the room by now, well more like they were screaming at me to get back to the room. It started to pour again as we were crossing Pleasure Island to get back to the car, good thing we double bagged our purchases and had put on our ponchos!
Back in the room for the night I got all comfy in my pj's, massaged my poor feet and watched Pirates of the Caribbean as it was on tv. Another early night to bed for us!

Great update! LOVE the Tink pillow you picked out! Your birthday is next Friday?! Mine is next Saturday! I'll be the big 30!! Uggh! I don't like even thinking about it!
Yep July 30th I turn the dreaded 26. Oops next Thursday actually.
26! Girl you are YOUNG! Happy early birthday!!
Wish I was younger! I'm not going to be done school until I am 30! That means I will have spent all of my 20's either in school or working a dead-end job.
Happy early birthday!
