Lessa yor treeslook great !! I particularly like the cat under tree!!!!
They are my sweeties.
I figured. Just had that feel to it even in a picture. My grandmother in-law used to (or maybe still does) practice santaria. Thankfully she likes me.
Morning Lessa !!!!!
great looking tree, we put ours up last night, tonight is decoriating it, took us almost 2 hours to put it up last night, moving all the branches around and such.
It takes us forever to put ours up as well. The "trunk" is three pieces that have to be fit together and then each branch has to be fitted into a slot individually and fluffed out. That is why we do it in stages over a couple nights.
Phase 1 - Assemble Tree
Phase 2 - String the lights
Phase 3 - Put on the ribbon
Phase 4 - Decorate
OH thats funny! I didn't even think it would be a "creative" name for a bar!! I just assumed it was real bats, which I am also scared of!
That's funny! I still have them sometimes too!! It can be embarrassing. The other day I was reading someone's tr and they were staying in the GF and they said someone was taking them to their room and spoke into their headset saying "We're ready to move out" or something and the girl was like "I think he was just saying it to intimidate me" and for some reason I found this hilarious and started cracking up at work, while sitting all alone, and everyone thought I was crazy! Oh well!
Okay, I just did some research at it is indeed a bar that is Batman themed. Here's what I found:
Fun time at the Bat Cave and great drinks. We were there when no one else was...it was fun...take pictures in the dance area - which provides a pole for those of you who want to try pole dancing!
Apparently it is attached to a restaurant called Spaghetti Junction

Love the trees Lessa! I can't wait for Christmas! It is one of my favorites!!!!
Thanks! I just love everything Christmas. I love the time leading up to the actual day the most. All the baking and shopping and the Christmas music, sending out and receiving Christmas cards, the smells, love it all.
So what happens if you're flagged as someone who bought medicine on ship?
Evening Lessa !!! I wish I had time to bake and every year I send less cards !! Still send to my family and friends in Englandand a few around the states but I remember when I sent over 100 every year! But stamps were 10c back then!!!!!
They don't really scan your bags that throughly, they are pretty much making sure that you are not bringing something dangerous like a weapon on board. I don't think the scanner would be able to tell the difference between a bag of candy and a bag of cough drops.
I don't send out a large amount of cards, maybe 30 or so. I love to make Christmas cookies though as does Erich.
Great updates!! LOVE the Christmas trees!! We probably won't have a chance to put ours up until after Thanksgiving.
Thanks! When we lived in the States we always put it up the weekend following Thanksgiving.
Back on the ship we decided to head up to deck 9 to grab some ice cream from the self-serve station.
We took the elevator that drops you off by the spa.
One of the things that I didn't get to do that I had wanted to was visit the Rainforest room at the spa. Something to do next time I guess!
The ice cream station is on the other side of the ship from the spa. On the walk over I ran into Daisy Duck!
Right before I was about to get my picture with her a mother shoved her kid in front of me to get a picture even though I was clearly there before her. It really annoys me when people act like that. Just because I am an adult does not mean that I don't want a character picture and I hate it when parents assume that their kid takes precedence over me. Rant over!
Ice cream in hand we made our way back to our room. I threw myself down on the couch to take a look over the activities for the night. It was Pirate Night onboard so all the characters were going to be out in their pirate gear, the dining rooms would have a special pirate menu and then off course there would be the pirate party and fireworks with a pirate dessert buffet directly afterwards.
There was no show in the theatre that night, I am assuming because of the deck party. Instead they were showing Disney Earth in the big theatre.
Since I wasn't feeling 100% and just wasn't feeling like a big meal we decided to skip dinner in the dining room and just grab something quick on the pool deck before the party.
I still had to get my picture with the characters so we made our way down to the atrium to get in line and once again I ran into my line buddy and her son. I was always first in line and she was always second.
Captain Jack Sparrow was also our for pictures but his line was ridiculous. It wrapped all the way around the atrium, I knew there would be another picture op with his later in the cruise and a much more appropriate one at that so I skipped his line.
Mom and I stopped by Parrot Cay so that we could let our servers know that we would not be at dinner and then we went up to deck 10 to watch as we sailed away from Tortola.
We grabbed a table on deck 10 overlooking the Goofy pool and just watched the scenery go by. Eventually I went down to Pluto's Dog House and grabbed a basket of chicken strips and fries.Mom had tacos for dinner. My chicken strips were delicious! I did not for one moment regret not eating dinner in the dining room.
I left Mom with her book at one point so I could go back inside and get my picture with Minnie.
I arrived right as Stitch was finishing up so I got in line for him as well.
The photographers camera stopped working so I took a picture for the family in front of me and they took a picture for me. We did the same thing for each other when Minnie came out.

I stopped by the room on my way back to grab my sweatshirt as I was feeling a bit chilled up on deck 10.
We shared our space with a very nice family from Wichita, Kansas. They had asked us if they could pull up a chair next to our table so that their daughters could see the party.
A waiter came by to see if we wanted a drink. Mom and I decided to indulge and we both ordered a drink. I had a Pina CoLava and I got it in the special glowing Pirate cup.
The party finally started. Several CM's dressed in pirate gear came out and started the dancing and then they were soon joined by Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. Minnie and Goofy led the dancing up on stage and Chip and Dale went out into the crowd to dance.
Captain Hook then showed up and took over the party. Fortunately Mickey Mouse showed up to save the party!
Mickey came swinging down from one of the stacks and the fireworks started going off. All to the tune of "Holding Out For A Hero". Disney is the only cruise line who has fireworks at sea. If you looked out to sea while the fireworks were going off you could see that other cruise lines had positioned their ships within viewing distance. That's right, they all recognize the awesomeness of the Mouse and are trying to hone in on it.
Here is a video of the fireworks. I'll post video of the whole party once it finishes uploading. Now if you are expecting Wishes you will be disappointed but it was fun to see the fireworks go off with the music in the background.
Fireworks At Sea
After the fireworks we made our way down to deck 9 to check out the buffet but it was packed! We couldn't even get close. We weren't really hungry so it wasn't a big deal but definitely watch the fireworks from deck 9 if you want a crack at the buffet.
I did manage a couple shots of the display.
We were pretty beat by this time. You will remember we had woken up super early that morning to watch the sunrise.
We were greeted by a towel monkey when we got back to the room.
Also with our navigator that night we had two chocolate pirate coins instead of the usual Sleepy Dwarf chocolates.
Now I apologize in advance for the TMI.
Since we had another full port day ahead of us I knew that a good nights sleep was important both for my health and for my energy level. I went into the bathroom to down a Nyquil tablet. I have always had the hardest time swallowing pills. In fact the first time I was even able to do it was when I was 19! Even now much of the time I can not get the pill down, I have a very sensitive gag reflex. Well wouldn't you know it I couldn't get the gel cap down which caused my gag reflex to act up and the sink ended up looking like a pepto bismal bottle had exploded all over it due to that Pina CoLava that I had indulged in earlier. I'm talking bright pink! Of course I wasn't laughing at the time, I was pretty miserable, but I did eventually get the darn NyQuil down and thankfully it was only the sink that had suffered the effects of my dilemma.
I curled up in bed for a good nights sleep. We had another early day ahead of us as the Magic would be docking in St Thomas!

YOu always post your updates when Iam in bed
The pirate party looks like fun, but crowded
And I had to laugh a the Minnie pics. She likes to show her undies doesn't she
COmpletely understand about the pills. I have been having that problem with the steroids the doctor gave me for my eyes. Can you do the liquid NyQuil?
