We are on this sailing also. We too booked an 11c and got a 11B on Deck 6. I love our location because we are close to the forward stairs. My son and I will make quick runs down to the deck 5
restrooms. We did this on the Wonder. That way my wife won't be rushed out of the stateroom bathroom. We would only use them early in the morning and at night when they are always empty. Also, they're so close that we can literally get there from our stateroom in 45 seconds.

Sailing on the Wonder to Alaska on May 27th, 2013. Booked a 5C GTY and was assigned a 5C on deck 6 aft. about 10 cabins away from the rest of our travelling party that booked 5c's and 5b's.. glad we are on the same deck and on the same side of the ship. We like to be near the aft elevators.

Sailing the DReam on 4/25; never sailed Disney before, but have cruised plenty. I have read the threads over and over and still don't quite understand the difference in the bookings, but I booked a GTY Verandah (cruise documents had GTY and VTG); nonetheless, was told I'd get an assignment around the 18th. Figured I'd roll the dice to save some money; it's only a 3-night cruise and I'm thinking how bad can even the worst balcony room be on DCL???

We booked a last minute GTY, Cat 5E for the Dream, sailing on 4/21/13. We booked on 4/1/13 and on 4/3/13 we were assigned cabin 7190. Not an upgrade, but an aft balcony, which is all we were wanting.

It is a handicapped accessible cabin and since we don't require that, I called them to see if they wanted to hold it for someone who might need it. They told me that since it is so close to sailing time, if these cabins aren't reserved, they assign them to anyone who is waiting for this category.

My wife surprised me with a 5 night on the Dream leaving April 21. She booked guaranteed with veranda. We were assigned room 9534 earlier this week. First trip with veranda.

We booked a 5E for the June 1st sailing of the Fantasy and already have our room. That seems really early compared to what some of you have said. It looks like it is a corner balcony room (7688?). I hope it doesn't change :).

We booked 2 11C rooms knowing that our family would probably be split up. Got our assignments and were upgraded to 10B on Deck 2!! We are thrilled because they are right next to each other!! Makes our trip that much better. Funny thing is they are both connecting staterooms, but not connected to each other. Bummer about that, but I'm still beyond thrilled!!

Our cruise date is June 3.

Once you have been assigned a room number it is very unusual for Disney to change it. We are waiting on our room number but I feel I have a while to wait. We don't sail until July 25th

Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question. We have a cat 8D GTY. I know this means that we will ever be in an 8D or higher. So, my question is is what's the next level up? 8C? Or does it skip to a 7?

We have 9A GTY's booked and are hoping for a 7A or higher. :thumbsup2

We booked a 9A GTY for our 5/30 cruise on the Dream and was assigned room #5686 which is an accessible room. It is a huge room but I really wanted a verandah so we just upgraded to a 7A GTY. Any idea how long it will take to get my new assignment? I got my first at 51 days out, so just curious how quickly I will get the new one. :)

How much more was it to upgrade to the 7A GTY?

To answer my own question, I upgraded on 4/26/13 and got my assignment today. Woohoo it looks like we have been upgraded!! Booked a 7A and received room 8028, I think it's a 5B. :cool1:
