So the beginning of this update will mostly be pictures. If you remember from my PTR, DH suggested that we all dress alike in our Hawaiian outfits that we had from our last Luau party at our home. I sort of felt like this was going to get us a lot of weird looks but thought what the heck.....DH NEVER suggests doing stuff like this so I have to have fun with it when I can. We were met with a few "aawwww look how cute you guys look" and a whole lot of blank stares and looks of wonder as to why we were dressed alike.

The Polynesian resort is beautiful!! I'm hoping to do the Spirit of Aloha dinner show next time we go. And I'm REALLY hoping that if we do a land/sea cruise, that we will get to stay here for our 3 days land portion.
Here are some pic's I took while we walked around the resort. We got there over an hour early just so we could walk around before dinner.

Straight ahead is the pool area! I LOVE THIS VIEW!!! You can see the castle in the background....

We keep walking down the path and just take in the scenery and all the little details...

We turn the corner and get another view of the Grand Floridian across the lagoon....

We find a small beach with a beautiful view...

We make our way around the path over by where they have the spirit of aloha show....

We made our way back inside and while dh was in the restroom, ds and I checked out some Disney art.....

We finally checked in with Kona for our dinner ressie's and were given a pager. We sat over by the bar and the pager went off 2 minutes later. YAY!! More ADR MOJO!! I ordered a Lapu Lapu because I've seen so much about this drink here on the DIS that I couldn't not try it. I must say, I was feeling no pain after this drink. It was really good!!

I was a good DISer and shared with Flat Jordan...

DH ordered a sunrise or sunset something or another. I can't remember the name now and neither can he. This was a REALLY good drink too!

DS ordered the Macaroni pasta with marinara sauce and cheese, along with grilled chicken, green beans/carrots and a milk to drink. They put a cute little umbrella in his milk to make him feel special too.

In the background of the above picture you can see the Hawaiian pinapple bread that they bring to the table along with a Macadamia nut butter. This was SO GOOD!!

I ordered the Tuna Oscar and was asked by the waitress if I minded raw food. Ummm.....YES!! I do eat sushi sometimes but have to be in the mood for it. I was not expecting that so she asked me how I'd like it cooked. I opted for "medium". The fish was on top of fried green tomato's, drisled with a hollandaise sauce and topped with asparagus and fried pieces of lump crab meat. This dish was DELICIOUS!!!!

DH ordered the Slow Roasted Prime Rib. It also included mashed potatoes and stir-fried broccoli florets. He also opted for "medium". I tried it, it was DELICIOUS also!!

I highly recommend Kona for dinner. We were so stuffed that we skipped out on desert but they had some VERY yummy looking choices which you get to look at as soon as you walk in.

Kona was wonderful! The chocolate banana crem brulee looked and sounded soooo good! I was just completely stuffed! I will make sure to save room for it next time.

You're welcome! Definitely take time to walk around. We didn't even really walk that far. There is still alot we didn't see. It's really beautiful.

The tuna steak doesn't taste fishy at all. To me it sort of tastes more like an actual steak!

Thanks. I like to keep it going, otherwise I start getting lazy and can't seem to get back into telling the story. It sort of helps with the post Disney depression too.

We've never been to Blue Bayou but we definitely want to go try it out. You have to let me know how it is! We've also been meaning to try out the new Schlitterbaun in Galveston too!

Hi Blue ,Great update as always!! I have always seen the Tuna served rare and it did not appeal. I don't really like Tuna but I do like fish and that Tuna did look good!! I think we are trying Kona next year !! I liked their menu!! The gang is not very adventurous with food and it had enough things they would like and I want to try it .
