The Bossy Family Takes on the Mob Wonder 3/1, updated 6/17 Mixology!!!

Kids menu that can be a Captains hat!

Tonight was Pirate Party pirate: night and they changed the time from 9:30 to 7:30, good idea really. 9:30 is way too late for little kiddies. We got our bandanas and our FE pirate eye patches and headed over to Tritons. There were LOADS of swashbuckin pirates everywhere! It was fantastic!

We had told our server previously it was Bella's birthday and he took her order the night before for a dairy free strawberry shortcake. Oh, at the breakfast buffet she ate something she should not :sad2: have had so was miserable for a good portion of the day. She has a preservative allergy plus is severely lactose intolerant, when tested at the hospital the first time the Dr said he had never seen a number that high and she had to repeat the following week after a 24 instead of 12 hour fast. In 1 hour she was more than 100 over baseline. It's usually read after 3 hours and if more than 20 it's positive. Lactaid doesn't work. She fairly good about watching what she has but can get carried away. Especially when she's food cray cray

Gotta rock that birthday hat!

For dinner I got the crab cake and BBQ rib salad.

Pierre's food: Macadamia Nut Dusted Mahi Mahi and his starter, his was super tasty!

Again our drinks and food took forever. My ribs were SO fatty, even Pierre agreed and he likes that kind of stuff. The kids stuck with the same. They made Bella dairy free pizza. Barfaroosskies. The sauce was not a proper tomato sauce and the cheese? SLICED! Who the heck puts sliced cheese on restaurant pizza? I'm not talking mozzarella sliced either, it was straight up pull-the-wrapper-off-and-put-it-on-a-sandwich sliced! Good thing she had her spaghetti and meatballs....

OH! I forgot to mention the head server, Kerry Sean from Jamaica. He was amazing! This is the first time I've been impressed with a head server. What attention he gave us and Cooper totally lit up when he came over! He brought Bella's strawberry shortcake over and led the servers in a round of Happy Birthday :bday: for Bella and Pierre. She was all smiles after that.

*Sidenote* I uploaded a video clip from my phone to Photobucket but it didn't load here as a video, just a small pic. Anyone know how to fix it or instead of the IMG should I copy something else? - just added a YouTube clip, hope it works!

They also had a dessert and sang for Pierre~ I may or may not have dragged the raspberry sauce across the plate with my finger...:rolleyes1

We went up on deck 10 for the PP, well we lost Bella but had Cooper party pooper with us. He did NOT want anything to do with it but I convinced him to stand on the perimeter. For a few minutes.

Then he and Pierre wandered over to the sports deck. Man I wish the kids were younger, they loved the parties on our previous cruises! I tried to find Bella but there were way too many people. I watched Mickey zip line down and the fireworks.

I walked all around the party on decks 9 & 10 but no luck finding B so I headed back to the room. Our attendant, Darma, made a hanging Monkey and I decided to add the pirate bandana.

I had gotten Darma a huge bag of Starburst and Twizzlers so put his name on them with a note so I wouldn't forget in the morning. He was so smiley and awesome!

Cozumel Day! :yay:

I did some more FE deliveries. Speaking of FE, this was our first participation and it was AWESOME!!! How cool to come back at night or wake up every morning with our extender overflowing! We got some very cool gifts and thank you so much if you gave to us! We got a couple of amazing handmade frames that could be manufactured and sold, beach bags, sundae kits, booze, candy, socks, magnets, so on and so forth. Absolutely loved and would recommend it to anyone. Hopefully you all liked everything we gave out!

Afterwards I decided to get ma coffee on deck 9 then go up to 10 and watch the sunrise :sunny:

At 6:30 I wandered down to The Cove to try out a specialty coffee. I like a cappuccino if it's made well. A woman came in right after I ordered my drink and she asked for a latte. He made them the exact same way. Uh uh. Nope. Way too much milk for me plus I like the stiff foam. I asked him the difference between a latte and a cappuccino and he said nothing... When she walked out he said not too many people ask for a real cappuccino. He remade one for me and I took the latte as well so it wouldn't be wasted. He gave me some mini salted caramel chocolate biscotti, to die. I also got a stamp card with 2 stamps.

After a while I went back to the room and the fam was starting to wake up. Cooper sat up in bed and asked what time we were getting off the boat. Ok, so for the last 3 months he's been saying he's not getting off the boat in Mexico. Adamantly refusing. I bought tickets at Dolphinaris and didn't bother getting one for him. Ugh, that kid! :crazy2::duck: I found out that we could actually walk there so I guess I didn't have to spend the $40 I thought I would on a taxi.

Bella and I were starving so off to BBB we went. Same brekkies for me.

I like Bella's caption

We watched the Norwegian Dawn pull in next to us. Looked like it was going to be a beautiful day, a few clouds here and there but overall? Lovely!

The guys met up with us back in the room after they ate, double checked I had my ID and off we went. When we got to the security checkpoint I had my bag checked and sniffed. The guy kept saying dog, bananas, plantanas, fruitas.... I did shove a couple of bananas in there for later so I thought he was kidding about giving the dog a little snack for his hard work sniffing for the drugs I didn't have. Bella said "OMG mom! You can't take fruit over the border! Ugh! What is wrong with you?!?!" Gave up the bananas, hung my head in embarrassment and kept walking.

Up the escalator are a bunch of stores and holy pushy shovey! :hyper2: :scared:Pierre and I did an all inclusive 5 years ago to Cozumel and came to this downtown area so I remembered how bad they were. I do realize, though, that the poverty level is really high and they are just desperate for the income. Immediately Bella was all over buying whatever she could with her Monopoly money. I got them each one of those woven bracelets and checked the directions a few times for Dolphinaris. Everyone was telling me the same thing so it was all good, only about 5 blocks to the right. Cooper saw Hooters and said he was going there for lunch. We got a quick sprinkle on the walk over there. Oh boy, I kept my fingers crossed that would be all it was. It worked! It took less than 10 minutes to walk there, better than the 20 min taxi to Chankanaab IMHO.

Here's a paragraph full of FYI's: I paid a $29 observer fee for Cooper, MY observer fee was $25 online. Bella was doing the Dolphin Push and Swim ($86) and Pierre did the Dolphin Encounter ($68) If I had booked it through Disney it was about $50 observer, $120 swim. Chankanaab does NOT let you book on your own, Dolphinaris does. We sat at the tables overlooking the swim area and got to see a group do everything.

P & B were getting really excited and couldn't wait! :yay::yay: I saw them setting up a small buffet lunch and Pierre went to get Cooper a soda. He came back and asked if I knew food was included. No I did not. How great is that?! Sorry Cooper, no Hooters for you.

We noticed that we could actually see the boat from where we were. Proves how quickly we got there!

It was finally their turn so they got the life jackets, Pierre looked like he got a kids one so that was quite entertaining and gave a us a :rotfl2: giggle. After their prep they went into the water. Since they were doing different swims they were on opposite ends. Bella told me a thousand :mic: times to take pictures.

Had to be the last one out of the water

The kids doing "daps" and two finger salute. Whatever that is :cool2:

Who a happy girl?!?! My BFFFF, Ecogirl, gave her this as a Christmas/birthday present. It was definitely a check on the bucket list and her favorite thing all week. Month. Year. Decade. You get the picture

The guy told them tons of info, taught them hand signals that the dolphins responded to, all in all a really wonderful experience. I ran over to take a few photos of Pierre and of course that was when Bella did her fin swim. Thankfully Cooper videod it! She swam out to the middle, the dolphin followed her and swooped around on his back for her to catch both fins and then he pulled her along. It was quick but she had the biggest smile on her face! After everyone had their swim turn they were each photographed doing a variety of Olan Mills style pictures. I think she was in the water nearly an hour so WELL WELL worth the money! Plus the booze was included and I certainly took advantage of that :drinking1 We looked at the pictures and Bella pulled out her phone to snap a shot and wow was the guy ever :teleport: fast to cover the screen with his hand! I ended up getting one picture for $30.

Oooh eyebrows on point

After they got out of the water we grabbed a bite to eat from the buffet. It was eh. Cooper wanted to go back to the boat so I walked with Bella so she could look at the wares the Cozumellians were flogging. She likes my wheeling and dealing so I was going to teach her the ropes. She got some Ray Bans :smooth: aka $10 Roy Bans and went to the boat.

We had until 5 or so but decided to drop our stuff off and see if Pierre wanted to go back out with us. I went over to the pool with Cooper, this was one of the few times he went there. Crowds :crowded: :crowded: Luckily most people had gotten off the boat :thumbsup2

:moped: Following...

Oh hello there! :magnify:
Reading along! popcorn::

It certainly started with a bang! Alone Time was :cloud9: I told dh he was paying for me to do it as my bd present. Which is 3 months away, but hey~ treat yourself! rights?! So bummed for you having to cancel your trip!

Love your report! I hoping to take my kids to Dolphinaris so I appreciate all of your info!

Thank you! Dolphinaris was really wonderful, would totally recommend going!

I went to the ladies room and noticed the massage chair set up poolside. It was only $50 for 30 mins. Sign me up! :teeth: Edith took me in the spa to put a robe on and sign the consultation paper. Working with my hands and having my arms raised leaves me with me with loads of knots in my shoulders. I'm a stylist and I also educate for a fabulous hair company. So lucky I love my job! A wise person once told me "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life!"

She really worked them out and the massage was fantastic. By the end I decided 100% to do the Alone Time treatment, if SHE could do it. Luckily there was a spot the next day! I hate that they try hard to sell their products so I shut :snooty: her down pretty quickly. I can get top shelf products at a low cost plus we have an Elemis Spa where I live.

After a little while Pierre, Bella and I got back off the boat and headed back to the little market area.

We saw 3 guys dressed up in Mexican tribal garb, got a few shots of Bella with them. Pierre got a kick out of the Drugs and Deli store behind her. What a mix, one stop shopping~ :rotfl2:

I can see the sunburn budding.... She was so desperate for a tan I know she didn't put more sunblock on after I stood there to make sure she did it the last 2 mornings.

She had gotten a slip for a free charm bracelet at Diamonds International. Ugh, pushy sales people. The guy immediately put a beautiful diamond ring on my finger and 7 carat diamond bracelet, gave Pierre a beer, gave Bella 2 charm bracelets and charms. Like that was going to get me to drop $20,000.... ::yes:: :rolleyes: Then the Wonder's shopping specialist came over to inform me these were the best people, they'll take care of me blahblahblah.

Bella had me haggle for her to get a Michael/Michelle Kors wallet then she got herself a Cozumel frame for her dolphin picture. Back to the boat! Had a a Palo dinner to pretty myself up for pixiedust:

The kids were eating at Tritons so I stopped by to make sure they were all set. Plus Pierre takes FOREVER :bored: to get ready. I'm seriously done, top to bottom in less then 20 mins and I hate waiting around. I met him in the lobby and we headed up to Palo.

We decided to get a quick drink at the bar :drinking1and peek into the kitchen.

I got a Lemoncello martini and he got a White Russian. Oooh lovely!

The bartender was nice and we chatted for 10 mins or so til our table was ready. I was escorted by the head waiter and he also carried my drink.

When I commented before I missed the whole update on Cozumel. That was a really great day at the Dolphin experience. I had no idea there was something like that so close to the port. I hate how pushy they are there. The sales people are awful. Can't wait to hear about Palo.

I know, me either! I'm so glad we did Dolphinaris, Bella absolutely loved it! Ugh, pushy people.... I'm supposed to do retail at work but am super nonchalant about it and my clients know that I don't talk about it unless they ask or it's truly needed so they respect my opinion more. It works because I'm in the top two without even trying! Mmmmm Palo.....

Cant wait to hear about Palo - you both look great!

Oh thank you! Palo coming up, love it there!

Toni from Croatia was our waiter and was quite nice.

Oh hello  Lemoncello!

Loved the roses :rose::rose::rose:

I have to say our service this trip was not what have had in the past. Not that it was bad, just wasn't as good as last time. We went with friends and were all giggly and stuff. Our waitress at the time totally fed into it.

We got an antipasto platter to start,

I took a picture of the menu but cannot remember what we had there was so much food!

This may or may not have been a starter

I remember having lamb that was really fabulous and the sorbet palate cleanser? :faint: Love love love! :lovestruc

I think Pierre had grilled tuna :fish:

The desserts were delicious and Toni brought over a plate with a chocolate inscription wishing Pierre a Happy Birthday :bday: Dang! I wasn't even expecting that one! Disney does it again!

We polished it off with the sorbet dropped in a shot of champagne. TO DIE! Looks like my finger made it's way through the sauce again:rolleyes1

I officially had a boozed up Palo baby residing in my tummy :thumbsup2

Lol @ the boozed up Palo baby! I had to laugh at the finger through the sauce I do the same thing to my husbands deserts because I never usually order desert when we go out but he does

That looks so yummy! I love the lamb there! What? No chocolate soufflé? :rotfl2: Looks like a fabulous meal!

I usually don't either but hey. Vacation!!!

I know~ I thought about the soufflé when Pierre was drinking his coffee. When I'm done girl I'm D.O.N.E. Lol! Will be on my list for the first night next time!

#9 sea day 4 part 1

We had our second sea day today so nothing do but relax. And spa. Ahhhhhh.

I got my cappuccino from Kristjian in Cove Cafe and he stood outside and chatted for a bit with me. Super nice guy and he makes a wonderful coffee! :coffee: If you see him soon tell him I say hello!

I went to the room and got Cooper for breakfast. We did end up at BBB every morning except the disembarkation day. I was pretty desperate for Cooper to try and enjoy himself so was prolly getting on his nerves giving him suggestions.

Le sigh.

Pierre and I hit up the adult pool, it was fairly windy today which was a bit annoying. I was trying to catch a good pic of the waves.

Chairs were at a premium but we were lucky enough. I struck up a conversation with my seatmate who was from Montreal, ay. There were LOADS of Canadians on board! Her husband got sick just before the cruise so her niece ended up taking his place. They were both super nice. I was counting down the minutes until my Vista Spa treatment. I also wasn't drinking because we had our tequila and margarita tasting later. My shoulders and back were a bit achy from being wrung out the day before by Edith so definitely needed a lighter touch from her today.

I went in, changed and sat in the relaxation room to wait.

I tried the dry sauna but it was a bit too hot :faint: Edith was ready for me so I followed her into the room. She started off soaking and scrubbing my feet and legs with a ginger lime scrub on the balcony. It smelled lovely!

I was supposed to use the hot tub next but the jets weren't working so she got someone else to try. Maybe 3 jets blew 5 or 6 bubbles. o_O I got in but minutes later I got out, walked up to the front desk and let them know. I wants me a hot tubbie!

How fantastically luxurious!

Edith was able to use the couples room instead which was nice because it was bigger plus the hot tub was perfect in here! While it filled she did my hot stone massage. I've never had one before so was curious. I totes recommend it! The hot stones were placed on my spine while she massaged my legs then she used them IN the massage. Superb! Next up was the hot tub and she brought in a tray with water, tea and 3 skewers of pineapple, strawberries and kiwis. My 3 fav fruits, good guess on her part! I relaxed for about 30 mins, it was supposed to be 45 but I was getting kinda antsy by that point. A little too much relaxation gets on my nerves. I dried off then opened the door to put my feets up on the railing. Wish I had a champers or Kir Royale. How nice would it be top all that off?! FYI I think it was $238 with the 18% gratuity included.

I left the spa to find the fam and see what was next on the agenda. I knew Bella was all about tanning. Cooper was all about the room and waiting for disembarkation. Pierre was all about finding a beer. I asked Coop if he wanted to walk around and see if we could see Animators Palate menu.

He has a habit of jumping :jumping3: up to touch stuff. He shot up about 6" in 6 months this year. E-VE-RY day he would compare his height to each of us.

Belle's Attitude, lol!

Jasmine's my favorite! princess:

Our head waiter, KerrySean told Cooper to eat a "mans meal" :cool2: of steak tonight, I think he was kind of excited about that. KerrySean has been with the Wonder for 13 years, I didn't think people renewed their contracts for that long! He must be happy

We went to the room, I had to hook up with P-dawg for our Tequila tasting! I never knew about these on our previous cruises so I'm glad I saw them in other trip reports.

Up next, Tequila/Margarita tasting!

Ahhhhhhhh spa day! Great updates! Gotta love the teenage boy and their growth spurts.
