Cozumel Day!
I did some more FE deliveries. Speaking of FE, this was our first participation and it was AWESOME!!! How cool to come back at night or wake up every morning with our extender overflowing! We got some very cool gifts and thank you so much if you gave to us! We got a couple of amazing handmade frames that could be manufactured and sold, beach bags, sundae kits, booze, candy, socks, magnets, so on and so forth. Absolutely loved and would recommend it to anyone. Hopefully you all liked everything we gave out!
Afterwards I decided to get ma coffee on deck 9 then go up to 10 and watch the sunrise
At 6:30 I wandered down to The Cove to try out a specialty coffee. I like a cappuccino if it's made well. A woman came in right after I ordered my drink and she asked for a latte. He made them the exact same way. Uh uh. Nope. Way too much milk for me plus I like the stiff foam. I asked him the difference between a latte and a cappuccino and he said nothing... When she walked out he said not too many people ask for a real cappuccino. He remade one for me and I took the latte as well so it wouldn't be wasted. He gave me some mini salted caramel chocolate biscotti, to die. I also got a stamp card with 2 stamps.
After a while I went back to the room and the fam was starting to wake up. Cooper sat up in bed and asked what time we were getting off the boat. Ok, so for the last 3 months he's been saying he's not getting off the boat in Mexico. Adamantly refusing. I bought tickets at Dolphinaris and didn't bother getting one for him. Ugh, that kid!
I found out that we could actually walk there so I guess I didn't have to spend the $40 I thought I would on a taxi.
Bella and I were starving so off to BBB we went. Same brekkies for me.
I like Bella's caption
We watched the Norwegian Dawn pull in next to us. Looked like it was going to be a beautiful day, a few clouds here and there but overall? Lovely!
The guys met up with us back in the room after they ate, double checked I had my ID and off we went. When we got to the security checkpoint I had my bag checked and sniffed. The guy kept saying dog, bananas, plantanas, fruitas.... I did shove a couple of bananas in there for later so I thought he was kidding about giving the dog a little snack for his hard work sniffing for the drugs I didn't have. Bella said "OMG mom! You can't take fruit over the border! Ugh!
What is wrong with you?!?!" Gave up the bananas, hung my head in embarrassment and kept walking.
Up the escalator are a bunch of stores and holy pushy shovey!
Pierre and I did an all inclusive 5 years ago to Cozumel and came to this downtown area so I remembered how bad they were. I do realize, though, that the poverty level is really high and they are just desperate for the income. Immediately Bella was all over buying whatever she could with her Monopoly money. I got them each one of those woven bracelets and checked the directions a few times for Dolphinaris. Everyone was telling me the same thing so it was all good, only about 5 blocks to the right. Cooper saw Hooters and said he was going there for lunch. We got a quick sprinkle on the walk over there. Oh boy, I kept my fingers crossed that would be all it was. It worked! It took less than 10 minutes to walk there, better than the 20 min taxi to Chankanaab IMHO.
Here's a paragraph full of FYI's: I paid a $29 observer fee for Cooper, MY observer fee was $25 online. Bella was doing the Dolphin Push and Swim ($86) and Pierre did the Dolphin Encounter ($68) If I had booked it through Disney it was about $50 observer, $120 swim. Chankanaab does NOT let you book on your own, Dolphinaris does. We sat at the tables overlooking the swim area and got to see a group do everything.
P & B were getting really excited and couldn't wait!
I saw them setting up a small buffet lunch and Pierre went to get Cooper a soda. He came back and asked if I knew food was included. No I did not. How great is that?! Sorry Cooper, no Hooters for you.
We noticed that we could actually see the boat from where we were. Proves how quickly we got there!
