Kat: I'm from MA, though not Boston. I think a visit to Cheers
is mandatory. It's called the Bullfinch, technically. We love to visit
the aquarium and the freedom trail is great! Lots of walking over cobblestones
and up and down smallish hills. ( thought I'd better warn you w your
back problems)
Quincy Market and Fanuel Hall are must sees. Great shopping!
If you're up for an adventure, the train will take you out to Gloucester
and Rockport. (filming location of The Perfect Storm) be warned though, it aint
like NYC. You will get off the train in the middle of nowhere! And no cabs!

Personally, if it were me, I'd make it a point to do the freedom
trail, Quincy Mkt and maybe Cheers!
Have fun and say hi to "home" for me.

Well, it's still snowing! Kids are hoping for another snow
day. Me, not so much....
Mel

All I know about Boston is there was a Tea Party There !!!:lmao: The girls are going for A school trip in April!!! It sounded like they had a lot of activities , but my guess is they wer geared towards TEENS!!!!;)

Janet was so excited that I was back to posting first that I didn't want to let her down.

She also wants to team me up with my Boss which is great !!! THEN in the Fall a DISNEY Trip !!!:banana:When I have dates and more details I will post them !!! But this means I can go to Disney more often !!! Is that A DIS Nuts dream or what!!!:cloud9::cloud9:

That's awesome Rosie. So when would the trip to PA be:rolleyes1popcorn::

Thats a skill, not a problem. LOL

:rotfl2:

WOW!!! I am about to cancel the non basic cable soon, it's going to bring the bill down about $40 a month, which should make a big difference.

Is yours Comcast too.? It really is amazing the money you can save when start cutting out little things! ::yes::

Good morning:goodvibes Home from work today. Have to go to school to count money for the Easter candy sale, then I have to run to the pharmacy, the post office, and to drop the cable boxes off. Hopefully I will have some time to relax between all of that and the boys coming home.

It was a brutal morning, Jimmy did NOT want to get up this morning. It has been a fight the last two day:headache::sad2:

Oh well, off to get dressed and head head over to school. Have a great day all:goodvibes

I spent hours last night fiddling around making a photo book. My sister had made one for my Mum etc and it was so lovely I decided we really must do something, anyway I was looking around and they're all about £30 ($45) but then I got an offer via email for a 24 page hardbacked one for £7 ($11) :yay: So far I've made one for our December WDW trip and have even dedicated a page to TT :rotfl2: It really was fantastic what stuff I could do on it so hopefully it'll look good. I now want to do a general 2009 one and hopefully a 2008 one, the offer is good till March 2nd, it's supposedly a Mothers Day gift deal :rotfl2:

Golf for me today, I did 9 holes then went to the annual coffee morning then a further 9 holes except it decided to rain and snow about half way round :sad2: I did pretty well in the Tombola, for £2/$3 I won a bottle of cava, fancy liquid hand wash, silicon cake mould and a chocolate cook book, Jess will love the last 2 :thumbsup2

I love those. I made one for each year for the past few years and one for Baylie's dance memories last year. :thumbsup2 That's my kind of scrapbooking! Nice and clean.

We do these for all of our trips and stuff, they are a great way to show people pictures from your trip without carrying a camera or a CD around with you:thumbsup2 We are going to do one for Jimmy for Cub Scouts too

Went to Shawmont this morning to do the candy money counting. As I am standing outside the office talking to another waiting for announcements and stuff to be done, here comes Jimmy's teacher on her way to a meeting. We chat for a minte or so (how are things going , anything we need to work on, etc) When she says to me, where's Jimmy? :scared1: Um, what do you mean where is Jimmy wasn't he on the bus? We go back to the classroom and he and the other kids on the same bus aren't there:eek: Call the Before School Care place, they were on the van, the bus was early (not the regular bus driver) and disn't wait for them:headache: Luckily the Dean of Students was right there and he got right on the phone with bus people and started raising heck! :thumbsup2 I almost had a stroke when she said Where's Jimmy :faint: I waited at the office until I saw him come in and then walked with him to his room. He was no worse for the wear...me on the other hand, I think my blod pressure went up 100 points!

Candy counting went well, we don't have a toal of profit yet since even though today was the last day you could send in money, you know people will be sending it for the enxt couple of days;)

After that I went to Comcast and returned the cable boxes, modem, and remotes. Then I ran to the mall and got a couple of books at Borders and had a quick bit to eat at Chik Fil A. From there I went to the post office to mail a package off. Then I stopped (or tried to) at the credit union to deposit a check but I couldn't find a parking space, so that will wait until tomorrow. Finally I stopped at the pharmacy to pick up Jimmy' prescription, but that won't be ready until Thursday becasue the delivery didn't come in.

We are having roasted chicken, mashed taters, stuffing and green beans for dinner. Other than that I'm not sure what we will be doing. Jimmy is banned from TV because he gave us such a hard time getting up this morning. We will probably play some games or something until it is time for bath and bed.

i just found out about blurb.com they are much cheaper than the shutterfly and kodak. I decided im going to use them instead of overpaying for a wedding album through a photographer. :thumbsup2

Just driving by :car: I'm still working on a 10 page term paper that needs to be uploaded this evening. Its T-5 hours and i havent even started the actually writing:scared1: It's taken me hours and hours to sort though all the scientific journals and papers i'm using.:surfweb: So far i have 5 pages just with the bullets and notes i've taken, so it should take long to organize and fill it out. Wish me luck!

BTW: its about Diving Ducks. Isnt my major the best :flower3:

I saw someone making one the other day at a photo kiosk and a smaller one is only $7. I may suggest to my kids that they would make a nice gift of the grandkids for me.

Janet

I have had that happen once or twice when my kids were little. It is the scariest feeling in the world. I will never get rid of Comcast, as much as they annoy me Jim loves them. He just calls and fights the charge every year and they lower the cost a little. I have no clue what's or dinner. It is my late night with the grankids and I won't get home until after 8:30.

+++++++++++++
I took my granddaughter to the Pediatrician this morning because she has had pink eye for 2 weeks. They prescribed the same eye drop since they feel we contaminated the last bottle, not true. Then it was mentioned that maybe she should see an eye specialist because now the constant infections may be a clogged duct. She's 15 months old and they just figured this out. My daughter told them that the hospital wanted this followed when she was born because she had the problem when she was less than a day old. Then we asked for a script for my grandson to go to the audiologist. After 20 questions we get put off and told they have to ask the dr. He's almost 4, has a severe speech delay (talks on a 2 year level) and failed the hearing test last year when he started Early Intervention. I told my daughter that if I get one more snide comment or look she's changing drs. I have been fighting them since DGS was 18 months old because he didn't talk. Two and a half years later I am still fighting them. I am so frustrated with the whole thing. I get to deal with it because my daughter can't use the phone at work and I am home. I wish they would realize we know the kid and know when there is a problem. Vent over.

It is my late night with the kids but I love my daughters DVR. My grandson will watch Monsters Inc for the next 4 hours. :lmao: I am off to try and do my class readings I have an exam next week.

I've read they're very good :thumbsup2

I felt really ill earlier, think I got a chill from playing golf in the sleet/snow :rotfl2: I'm much better now and feel nice and warm :thumbsup2

It definitely sounds as though you need a new Dr, I'm sorry and hope something gets sorted soon

Sounds like she definitely needs a new pediatrician. It's a shame you aren't up here. We love our ped:love:

OMG :eek::eek: Glad he was OK but why didn't it wait and who was he with all that time?

He was at the Before school care place so they brought him in the van. It was not the regular bus driver, she was out sick. If the regular one is there and shows up early and if she is running late she calls Before School Cares to let them know so that the kids aren't standing on the corner in bad weather:thumbsup2

I have done NOTHING all afternoon but reserach our Williamsburg Trip. I'm going through withdrawl as this would be our 6 month mark and I should be making ADR's. I called to inquire about ressies for lunch at one of the taverns in Colonial Williamsburg and they told me they only take them 45 days in advance :faint: What am I going to do to pass this time???

Janet: shovel??

:lmao:

You guys know it's snowing here, right? It's been snowing all day! :yay: I picked the kids up about 9:30 because there was no way I was going to let the kids miss this! :cloud9:

The schools ended up closing about lunchtime and we have a 2 hour delay in the morning! :woohoo: I get to sleep late!

Kirt's work closed about 3 and he's out in the field behind our house letting the kids sled down the hill. It's pretty funny looking to see my kids in winterwear on beach boogy boards going down a snowy hill. :rotfl:

I've been a Texan my whole life and have never seen so much snow here. I think it's only snowed here 2 or 3 times in my whole life! We're having fun.

I'm making chicken and dumplings and a big fire later tonight. :thumbsup2

Time for me to brag!

We wrote our Anatomy midterm this morning and I got 100%! I couldn't believe it! I have come so close to the elusive perfect mark in Biology all year and now I have finally got it. :cool1: I have had 98, 96, 98, 98 and now finally 100%! :woohoo:

CARP!!!!!!!

I HATE WINTER!!!!!!!!

They are talking feet in their predictions now.

PLEASE! PLEASE! BE WRONG!!!!!!!!

Anyhow..

How are my favorite imaginary friends doing.

Janet something similar happened about 6 years ago with my oldest niece. I was stuck in bed at my parents as I had smashed my right foot and had surgery (think humpty dumpty). My mom was the emergency contact if my SIL could not be reached. The school called and couldn't find SIL and wanted to know where my niece was. We all go into panic mode. I called the school back to try and get more info as Murph was out of her mind with worry. As I am on the phone they tell me oh false alarm. Well in that case go get her and put her on the phone so I can hear for myself she is there. They went and got her and all was ok, still never understood why they thought she wasn't there in the first place:confused3

I think Mother Nature took all of CEs snow and sent it to Philly! Lol!
Poor Janet! And Mo!

It's snowing here still too but what else is new? :confused3
