Any one out there familiar with Swan/Dolphins bus service? We have stayed at Coronado Springs which had excellent bus service. Since we will not have a car, good bus service is invaluable. Does Swan/Dolphin share bus service with any other resorts? Do busses run fairly regularly? Any input is appreciated!

The S/D shares bus service with the other Epcot resorts (Y&BC and Boardwalk), but they run very frequently. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes either leaving or returning to the S/D.

It shares bus service with BW and YC/BC except during busy seasons it has its own bus to MK. Busses to anywhere generally run every 20 minutes (and sometimes more often during morning and park closing rush times). When going to somewhere bus will stop at YC/BC and BW; when coming back S/D is first stop. Once you are on bus, trips going somewhere can take 30 to 35 minutes, coming back 15 to 20. Note that you walk to Epcot and MGM or take boat.

We stayed at the Dolphin a year ago -- the only problem we had was going to Downtown Disney. Buses to DD are not that frequent so the wait is long, and the trip took quite a while as well. We had no problems with buses to AK or MK. I think buses to Downtown Disney are a "challenge" no matter where you stay. Hope you have a great trip.

As we enter our slow season, the Swan & Dolphin will be combined with the rest of the Epcot resorts during normal operation hours. Downtown Disney will still run a dedicated Boardwalk bus between 6:30pm and 11:30pm. All other times, they will be combined.

The complete cycle... from MK to S/D/Y/B/BW, and back to MK is approx 40 minutes. This can usually be done in less than 35 minutes. (And yes, by obeying all traffic laws.) With a 35 min cycle, it takes 13 minutes to get to the Swan. Probably about 20 mins for the Boardwalk. Then another 13 minutes to get back to the MK. So on-board time would be 13-20 minutes for the MK.

As for frequency... MK busses have gotten to the point with Flex Dispatch that we're running every 11-12 minutes. In the morning, the busses are dispatched via MOD from the Studios parking lot. Their routes may vary... for example, Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk. It's just based on demand.

Downtown Disney... that's another matter altogether. Somedays its fine... other days... it's hit or miss. During peak times, anticipate the Downtown busses to be running behind schedule.
