I finally got the go ahead from hubby to book our Eastern Caribbean cruise for June 14 2014! Yay! When I looked online all the concierge family rooms were sold out. Really, sold out 1.5 years in advance! How is this possible! Please tell me the online system is being weird and holding back rooms.

Not at all unusual. Now, keep in mind that some people may cancel (although a little less likely, as concierge deposits are non-refundable. But they are transferable, apparently, so room could open up) so keep checking.

Thanks for the alleviation of my anxiety! I'll call in the morning, now the site is down for maintenance. Sometimes I think "down for maintenance" is code for "something is wrong, but we don't know what" :)

Is every single concierge category sold out? For my cruise in Jan 2014 the cat Vs and Rs went pretty quickly. Only the Ts are left.

The Royal Suite is sold out (no surprise) and the family rooms. All that's left are the 1 bedroom suites.

Might be a glitch; might not be. Unless I mixed something up in my head, I know that all the big-balcony 00Vs are now booked for the *November* 13, 2014 Dream...so I guess I wouldn't be overly surprised at all of the Vs being gone for something 5 months before that one.

That's not unusual at all. Have your travel agent put you on a wait list for the category you want. Disney will then let them know if it comes through. I had to do that and my wait list came through in a couple of days. People cancel all of the time.

So, here it is midnight central. Website is back up and the room I wanted was available! I'm so excited, I begin to book online, click to reserve and....it boots me out. So frustrated I could scream!

    Hi there,

I had something similar happen to us a few weeks ago when trying to book at the 120day point before cruising we get up at 5am (midnight EST)to all our port adventures. Well of course the segway tour of Rome was all sold out in less then a minute, very strange?

I thought about this and decided to give DCL a call a day later and ask "how can that be?"

Well, the reply came back, sorry we forgot to load the spaces on the systems for that cruise! and of course they booked it straight away.

The morale of the story, computers are great, people are better (most times)

I got up this morning and booked it!

My first question to myself through this whole process was is the online inventory the same one available to customer service, answer:yes.

My second question was do people really book their rooms this early, answer: yes

I have also learned that concierge is starting to book faster than the other cabin types and when you know BOOK IT!

PS - if you want to go on the June 14, 2014 cruise to Eastern Caribbean you should book now!

Thanks for everyone's help! Usually when I do a google search I pull up some great disboard thread that answers my question, but not this time. I hope I was able to help someone else with the same questions.

    Congrats bbagnall!

My DH and I looked into the possibility of booking concierge on the Fantasy in summer 2014. I knew it would be expensive, but over $32,000 for 2A/3C in the Royal? Hard to believe the Royals sell out so quickly at that price! Maybe I'm just naive, but I never expected it to be that much! Oh well, it was fun to think about! :)

I hear ya about the Royal Suite! It seems like it's always the first to sell out, I want to be a part of that family!

For our Western in August 2014, there are only two cat. V's left. The difference in price from a 4A to a cat. V was only about $400 for 3A/2C so that is probably why they are being snapped up. There are lots of cat. T's and one cat. R remaining.:)
