Day 5 – Nov. 28, 2015 – part 1

Slept until about 9 AM. I went and got DH and I b-fast and coffee.

DD asked for a cheese Danish

We tried to get the boy up and going.

Left for the park – Epcot – around 11:30 AM. We got there and rode Spaceship Earth

then DD said her back hurt and she was crying.

So I gave her some advil and talked her into staying at the park and riding Ellen’s Energy Adventure. I knew that would give us time for the advil to do its job.

After that, she said she felt better and she and DH rode Test Track



while I Looked around in Mouse Gear and DS went to explore the countries.



After that, we rode Soarin’ and got front row center – yay.



Then we went to eat at Teppon Edo.

I love these kinds of places. We have just recently turned the kids around to liking it.

DS didn’t want dessert – nothing on the menu he really wanted - so they gave him a water to take with us.

I have been successful in not having to use one the last couple of trips, but I wore a pain patch that helped me through. I might have to get another prescription because that was my last patch and we have a trip coming up at the end of March.

I know you are looking forward to the trip with your grandkids so much. Did you book a resort yet??

I am stubborn and try and persevere with just an Aleve. My DH has already ordered me to rent the scooter for our March trip. When are you going in MArch? I'm sure we will miss each other.

We haven't booked yet but are planning on AKL with points. I really want to splurge and that is the best way to do it. I will need 4 or 5 rooms depending on who all goes down. Right now it is both of my daughters and their 6 kids and husbands, my daughters BFF and her son, my oldest grandson and of course DH and I. The one grandchild will still be under 3 so that will help. I am beginning to think I may be crazy as we will have a 2 year old, 3 y/o, two 9 y/o's, 10 y/o, 11 y/o, 13 y/o girl (Drama there) and a 19 year old. And now we have a peanut allergy to worry about. I don't think my son and his wife and younger son will eb going. I am a little bothered by that but with the drama that my DIL brings I am a little glad although my grandson loses out.

The joys of teenagers. My DS was a royal pain when he was around that age.

I hate Soarin', probably the only person who does but I get really bad motion sickness on that attraction. I know it is just a movie but 3D, IMAX, anything like that
and I get sick. Teppan Edo is a favorite and I always get the Asakusa. I know your daughter has an allergy and Teppan Edo is peanut free. It was on my list for the big trip but we were worried that Ben could get sick. My daughter will be thrilled if we can keep that restaurant.

I'm going to side with your DH and say get a scooter.

We are going the last week for Spring Break when the kids are out of school.

AKL sounds good for that. See if you can swing a Grand Villa. That sleeps a bunch of people. One of those would be so awesome.

I wouldn't worry too much about the peanut allergy. You just have to ask questions every where you eat.

Sorry your son can't go, but who needs the drama? Right?

This teenager is going to put me in an early grave. The stupid is strong with that one.

I love Soarin'. It is my favorite. I can't wait for the new film. 3D and Imax make me sick, too. But I am OK on Soarin'

Day 5 – Part 2

After our delicious meal at Teppon Edo, the boys left to go back to the room while DD and I explored Epcot for a few hours more. We checked out some of the Christmas decorations.

These were amazing and I was very bummed that I did not buy more.

DD and I have always wanted to ride the monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom. Se we did that. Rode it there and rode it back. It was very cool. It was dark by this time and coming back into Epcot with the park at lit up at night was just beautiful. We enjoyed or little side trip

After that we took the bus back to AoA. We watched football with the boys and packed up some things.

The kids went to the food court and got us some ice cream, DD got a cupcake and DS got a burger.

Day 6 – Nov. 29. 2015

Our last day!!! Sadness!!

I got everyone up around 8AM. I ran to the food court and got a couple of things for breakfast for me and DD, while DH got everyone up and going.

We packed all of our things in the car and checked out.

We got to the Magic Kingdom around 10 AM and it wasn’t too badly crowded.

We headed over to Tomorrowland

We got some ice cream first thing since I had some wicked acid on my stomach and ice cream really helps. We got it from Auntie Gravity’s right by Stitch’s Great Escape. I love the ice cream there. It is really good soft serve.

We went over to check on Splash Mountain and it was down.

Then we rode 7DMT



Then we had lunch at Columbia Harbor House.

DH was anxious to get on the road, so we agreed that DH and DS would go get the car, gas up and meet us over at the Grand Floridian. So they took off to do that, while DD and made the best of what little time we had left. Which was about a little over an hour.

We used the potty and then got in the car with DH and DS.

Traffic was terrible getting out of Florida, but not too bad closer to home. DH said he was never making that drive again. But he says that every year – LOL.

We are DVC members so we never get free dining. I like the dining plan though. I like for everything to be paid for and not have to worry about it. I love it decorated for Christmas, too. It makes it extra magical. Thanks for reading !!!

I just love going during Thanksgiving. You get the magic of Christmas without the crazy crowds. I mean it is crowded, but not as crowded as Christmas. This was a great trip!! I'm so ready to go back. We are at the Poly in March. We are sooooo excited!! thanks for reading, Lisa!!!
