Minnie, it sounds like you have had a rough week. Sorry your not feeling well, I hope as I write this you are better. Scary, scary stuff about the tornadoes were any of them close to you?

Well, to make a long story short I had a terrible reaction to a pain medication they put me on for my back. I just didn't realize it was the meds that was making me so sick. Missed 3 days of work and stopped all medication on Friday. Today I feel better. Finally! Anyways, I havent worked out since Tuesday and am not sure what to do tomorrow as I try to start over. I am almost considering starting at the beginning of week 2 and just moving forward. Actually, as I type this I know that is what I will do. Not sure I am ready to do dvd 3 & 4 seeing as I have only done each once and that was almost a week ago.

Well, tomorrow is Monday and first things first I HAVE TO GET MY FOOD UNDER CONTROL!!!!!

I am so sorry that your meds were making you sick! I'm glad that you figured it out. I try to avoid medicine as much as I can because half the time it's worse that the original ailment!:eek:

I am going to start over with week 3 too. I missed half of the workouts last week and am still feeling pretty crudy. I need to start again today but am not sure if I'm up to it. I'll get moving after kiddos go off to school and see how I'm feeling then.

Ya, the tornados were all around us. We were just out of the direct path. Most of our friends had to take cover, a few were close enough for them to photograph but thankfully non went through any of the nearby towns. Prom night was interesting for some of the schools that had to go to the tornado shelters... I guess there were 124 tornados!:scared1: It was nuts! We had the kids sleep in the basement and we stayed up to watch the weather. Crazy, crazy stuff!

I hope that you two have a great week! I'm just hoping to feel like myself again!:good vibes

Oh, btw... I am so psyched! I officially weight less than I do before my weight gain 4.5 years ago! (Even after the Cadbury eggs!) WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!:cool1::yay::dance3::yay::banana::dance3:party::jumping1::crazy:

Food was better than it has been but I could still make some adjustments. That time when I get in from work is by far my worst. I'm tired, I'm hungry and I want to munch. A bad, bad, bad combination. I am about to go downstairs and exercise.

Tackled Phase 2 tonight. Disc 5 is easy, but hard. My arms are on fire. Quads got a workout, but nothing unbearable. And the cardio is quick and easy. Going to push myself harder next time. Disc 6 tomorrow night!

I did DVD 1 last night. Amazing how you take a week off and you slip so far back. I was able to do it but certainly didn't feel nearly as stron as last week doing them.

Just goes to show--DON"T QUIT!!!!

Thanks! Unfortunately, I am still sick. I haven't been sick in such a long time and this is really getting frustrating!

I know about the night time munching. Have you ever thought of making a healthy snack that you would look forward to that would be waiting for you when you get home? That way you could "treat" yourself to some healthy munching before you get dinner going. Just a thought.

Yay! I'm glad to hear it is doable. Would you have thought that it was easy if it was the first week? I am kind of like you. I take it easy the first time through than adjust weights and do more of the advanced moves after I know she isn't going to kill us!:):)

I will be in the same boat as you. I am not going to work out today. The DS is home today too. Summer colds stink! I am hoping that I won't have taken too big of a back slide!

I am glad that I am chatting with you too. It really is keeping me motivated to want to do the workouts!

Well, I had planned to get up early and do cardio but I blew it. I have a super busy day at work today and just wanted to get it done. I will do it tonight but it would have been nice to have it done.

Sorry about the no loss again. I bet you are frustrated! I know that we aren't supposed to care what the number is as long as we are feeling good and toning up and clothes are fitting better, but really, it is such concrete when you see the number. The number makes us believe it's working! Hang in there and it will soon come. Here's a random thought. Could it be your scale? I had a scale once that would get stuck on a number and not really move.

Oh and if the people in peoria can see a difference, you must be doing good. Ba, ha, ha!:lmao: (gotta love auto correct!)

Yup, I'm sick of being sick. DS stayed home yesterday. He got up, felt awful, went back to bed till 9 till the phone woke him up. And later took a 4 hour nap! DH walks through the door after work and one look at him I knew he had it too! :eek: Hopefully DD avoids it!

I woke up at 4 because I was so stuffed up. Luckily I eventually fell back to sleep. This is the first day in over a week that I did not wake up feeling like I spent the night in a boxing ring! I think I am on my way to recovery. Luckily I rarely get sick. When I do, it just so annoying. I don't have any patience with it at all!:mad:

Anyway, I have tennis today and volleyball tonight. If I still am feeling decent, I'll try to go play. I have to start again sometime!

Thanks Gretta! I feel like I am FINALLY at the tail end of this thing. Went to tennis and did okay. Played volleyball, again okay. WE WON though and are advancing in the tournament! They were fun, competitive, close games.

I think that I am going to just go on a long walk today and play some racket ball on Friday and rest over the weekend. I want to get a fresh start with my best bud Jillian and am still feeling weak as far as weights, balance and such. So Monday, I will start week 3.

I'm glad that you got your cardio in tonight. Good for you after a long day! It's funny how the Cardio one has become your comfort tape! Cardio 2 will move into that category too I'm sure!

She took all the books with her to read and copied the 7 day kickstart booklet to give to me along with the discs. Only trouble is she missed page 12 & 13. I think all that is on those pages is the Poached Egg recipe. Would someone mind looking for me?? And maybe post the recipe?? I would really appreciate it. :worship: I want to start as soon as I get grocery shopping, and I am making my list!!!

Very excited to start - may be just the thing I need. And imagine my happiness when I found this thread!!!! :banana::banana:

Poached Eggs with Avocado, Canadian Bacon and Tomato

1 plum tomato, cleaned and thinly sliced
1/4 of a ripe /soft avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
2 medium eggs
2 slices (about 1 ounce) Canadian Stye Bacon

Arrange the sliced tomato and avocado in the center of a medium sized plate. Then brown the canadian bacon in a skillet until cooked to the desired degree of doneness. Poach the eggs in slightly salted water. place the bacon slicers on top of the avocado and tomato and then top with the 2 poached eggs. Season as desired with a pinch of salt an pepper

eggs may be scrambled or fired in a skillet with non-stick cooking spray

Just a little word of advice. We all kind of found that there were maybe a little too few calories (depending on your amount of activity). I found myself a little light headed and dizzy so I added a little protein to both lunch and dinner and added a mid morning snack. I felt so much better and still had incredible results for the 7 day kick start. That was my experience anyway.

Well, I am still not quite recovered. I am going to take it easy for the weekend and really start my week off on Monday good and strong. I think that I will go back to week 2 (maybe week 3). I'll see how I'm feeling.

So bummed for my DD. She just found out that she may be out for the rest of track season. She was soooo excited about track, was ranked 13th in State after her first meet and then got hurt. She's been battleing it ever since. We finally got her into a sports medicine specialist and not good news.... so sad for her. :sad:

She starts physical therapy tonight. Hopefully she will heal quickly!
