Hello Everyone, I'm very excited to be starting my own PJ, as I've been lurking on the Dis for quite sometime reading everyone else's.

    The Story:
My name is Stacey and my fiance's name is Frank.

We met through a mutual best friend, whom we've known for 10 years. We had heard a lot about one another but everytime we were supposed to meet, something came up. We finally met one night at a Superbowl party and then went out the following weekend with a group of friends. I was hesitant, even though Frank was showing interest because he had a bit of a "bad boy" reputation and I was seeing someone else at the time, long distance. After he continued to persue me and we spent hours just talking and laughing we knew quickly that it was meant to be, and I knew that I was in trouble! Our relationship has moved along quickly, he asked me to move in with him about a month after we started seeing eachother, putting his "bad boy" past behind him. We absolutely adore eachother and our parents and friends couldn't be happier for us! We have been talking about marriage from the beginning. He is everything I could have ever wanted, if I could dream up my Prince Charming it would be Frank. I wouldn't change a single thing about him. He is truly perfect!! :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

    The Proposal:
We took a trip to Disney earlier this month with our mutual group of friends. I'm not going to lie, I knew it was coming. We arranged to meet with a DFTW planner and see some locations, however I did not know where or when he was going to propose. On May 5th we did a private Wishes cruise with our group of friends and during the finale of Wishes (my favorite fireworks show, btw) he got down on one knee and proposed right there on the boat. He asked me to make his wish come true by becoming his wife. It was the most perfect night ever!

(shot of him proposing, one of our friends got a picture)

I've always wanted a Disney Wedding and he wants to give me the world, so we're going to do a small wedding in Disney on Feb 16th (just my family, his won't fly) and in September we're doing our at home church wedding and reception.

    My Ring:
Frank designed it himself, the center stone is a heart and the sidestones are diamonds and sapphires, sapphires are my birthstone and favorite stone in the world. The ring is soo me! He did an awesome job!

Our Engagement Shoot at the Poly
    [IMG]
We had some pics taken by the photopass photographers at the Poly. We will be taking more engagement pics in September when we go for my birthday by Randy.

    MOH and BM Dresses:

The MOH's will be in Royal Blue with a Silver sash and the BM's will be in Silver with a Royal Blue sash.

    Cast of Characters:
This is our bridal party for our at home wedding. We are not having any attendants at the Disney wedding. We are having 6 attendants on each side. I'm having a matron of honor and maid of honor while Frank is having 2 best men. I'm also having 4 bridesmaids and he is having 4 additional groomsmen.

Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what you want already!! I change my mind about everything a million times. Your dressi is beautiful and so are your MOH/BM dresses. Can't wait to hear more of what you have planned.

Thank you! I'm trying to plan everything one thing at a time. I'm having a hard enough time deciding on perfect centerpieces and favors for the engagement party. I just have to keep telling myself to breathe and not let it keep me up at night :rotfl:

    Congratulations and welcome!!!

You were getting engaged at MK while we were wrapping up our wedding dessert party at Epcot on May 5th! And if you do get the date you want, you'll be marrying on my mom's bday.

I think both days are wonderful!!!

I can't wait to see your plans!

Thanks everyone for your kinds words! I had such a great time reading everyone else's PJ, I just hope mine can stack up. I'm glad that everyone likes the pink dress idea. I was starting to wonder if I should just go with the white. I knew from the beginning that I wanted a pink dress but I feel like I should be in white. I'm all over the place.

So I'm getting more involved in the details of my engagement party and I really think I want it to be Pirate and Princess themed. Frank loves pirates and I'm very much into the whole fairytale thing so I think it would be a great idea. I purchased some little pirate figurines to put on our cake yesterday at the dollar store, now I'm planning to have the bakery do a beach theme for the cake and have them stick the pirates on there somewhere. I have also seen kits in some craft stores for castle cakes. I am not very creative when it comes to the kitchen but a friend of the family actually does these cakes as a side job so I think I'm going to ask her. As for favors, I was toying with the idea of making lollipops. I have skull pirate molds, Cinderella's royal coach molds and of course Mickey head molds.

As decorations I purchased the castle mural at Party City. I thought it was adorable and a really cute touch. Now all I have to do is come up with the centerpieces and I'll be set!

Also, does anyone know of a program where I can make my own invites and save the date cards? I want to use our own picture graphics and am not sure how to get started. I need a lot of help with these things.

The party went very well. I have been soooo busy lately. We decided to do an escape instead and moved the wedding up to Feb because nobody wanted to go to Disney, so we're getting married here too at my church but still keeping my dream of the disney wedding
