Spring 2016 Dapper Day Dates are OUT!!!!

I received an email from Dapper Days with their dates for Spring 2016.

They have slid the dates to April 30 and May 1st.

When I go to the link, the “Make a Reservation” calendar looks like rooms are available from April 24th to May 15th. However, when I try to make a reservation with a date outside this window April 27th to May 3rd, those dates are “Not Available”. So as you are planning, it appears the Dapper Day rate is only for 7 days, April 27th through May 3rd.

I saw that! I wonder what the fall dapper date will be. It's usually Sept, but that's only 4 months from the Spring event.

I got the email too and I'm just so sad because my AP will expire in March and it's unlikely I will renew. I really wanted to go to the spring event! Maybe I'll have to rethink going this fall instead.

Their website says it's Sept 18th. That's later than before so maybe it will be cooler!

Oh...I just got it. You mean the 2016 Fall DD. I imagine it will still be in Sept since Oct is getting into the Halloween season, but who knows? I would not have guessed they'd move the spring event to May.

There is always the option of renewing your AP at DLR, when visiting during Dapper Days.

We've not been to DL yet and have been planning on going for DD in 2016 so I'm excited to see the dates are released. Seeing that the expo is the 30th and the 1st, and the event is on the 1st, is it safe to assume that crowds will be a max capacity those days? Other than those days what should be expected for crowds April 26-29, and May 2-3? Is this a good time to visit DL and SoCal in general?

Kinda bummed. I liked the end of February. Plus, I always have a convention the first weekend of May - hoping with the end of April, things get bumped.

We'll see, I'm already spending WAY to much on Disney this year with my new AP. I was hoping that Dapper Days would be in Feb or early March so it would be covered. If I can get DH on board then we'll do the fall event instead and stay at GCH. I've always wanted to stay there

On their Facebook site they mentioned that the fall dapper day 2016 will most likely not be in September, but instead a bit later. Their reasoning was that the spring date in February is always a bit too cold, while the September date is too hot. by pushing both dates up, this should solve that problem. It also looks like it will always take place on a sunday, with expos on the Saturday.
