I am in LOVE with this show. It moves really fast but I am keeping up. AND I'm a little embarrassed to admit I like this whole (in small letters) affair with the President (shhhhhhh don't tell anyone I wrote that). The chemistry between Olivia and President Grant is .... is.... electrifying. So, who else is in love with this show?

If you have Netflix, Season 1 is free (instant streaming) - its only 7 episodes. If you have ON Demand on your cable/satellite you can catch up too.

Ok, I think STRONGLY that his wife (the first lady)had something to do with it. Huck shot the President, they already showed that, the question is why?

Well I thought it was Huck also based on last episode spoiler but then I talked to my mom and she said she saw another man in a red coat in that same spoiler?????? So, I can't. Wait to see tonight. And I was thinking that the creeper senator guy had something to so with it.

I read this and thought I'd post it here. It's 3 theories to who shot the President.

1. Billy and/or Sally did it: Sure, Huck enlisted Charlie (George Newbern) to kill Billy (Matt Letscher) in the Season 1 finale, but what if Charlie didn't go through with it? As her former Chief of Staff, Billy would still be desperate to help Sally Langston (Kate Burton) get the presidency, so much so that he would enlist Charlie to assassinate Fitz — either with or without her knowledge. But Charlie decides to get back at Huck for torturing him by recruiting Becky to seduce him and frame him for the President's assassination — effectively getting revenge on an emotional level and, with Huck being brought into custody under the Patriot Act, likely on a physical level, too.

2. Hollis did it: Angry that Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Verna (Debra Mooney) saved Quinn (Katie Lowes) from taking the fall for the Cytron explosion, Hollis (Gregg Henry) decides to clean up loose ends and retaliate by setting Huck up to murder Fitz. That would also facilitate putting a president that will actually do his bidding in the Oval Office.


3. Mellie did it: The First Lady (Bellamy Young) was awfully worried about going into Fitz's birthday party, desperately trying to keep him in the limo before he was shot. What if she — not foreseeing that Sally would pull a coup and take over the White House — hoped that even injuring her husband would give her a chance to prove her political worth during America's time of need? And selecting a female assassin to plan the whole thing seems exactly like something Mellie would do.

Sure, our three theories could totally be off base — or at worse, all of them are somehow in on it together — which is why there's a perfectly good comments section below for you to share your theories on who was behind Fitz's assassination.

Love this theory and it is totally plausible in the world of TV!
