    Spinoff of the typecast thread. I figure since Gene Hackman has been in almost everything, it'd be fun to see what everyone thinks is his best role.

    And if this stalls out, someone feel free to nominate a different actor to talk about :rotfl:

    Coach Norman Dale in Hoosiers. Dennis Hopper was good in that movie, too. Great flick.

    He was the blind man that offered Peter Boyle the soup. A very minor part but very funny.

    I cant pick a favorite. Gene Hackman is one of the few actors who is great in all of his roles. I did like him a lot in Runaway Jury. Thought Dustin Hoffman was good in that too, and I'm not a fan of his.
