We have an August use year, so we have till the end of April to bank 50% of our points. Presently, we have 150 points, which would make that 75. However, if we buy more points in mid-April, which is what we were planning, would we be able to bank 50% of 175 points at the end of April, or is that cutting it too close time-wise? I know this is a pretty specific question, but I was hoping someone might have had a similar experience.

If you own the points and they are the same Use Year, you could bank them. If you are buying from DVC, this would be something to discuss at the time of purchase.

At the time of purchase there will be a form in your package asking how many of the purchased points you want to bank.

I know this has been asked before, but......

If you own at more than one resort, is the banking percentage based on your total points owned (all resorts together) OR for points owned at each resort.

Example: I own 200 at BCV and 200 at VWL. I use all the VWL points in my use year, leaving all 200 BCV points to bank. At the 50% banking window, can I bank all 200 BCV or only 100?

We were wondering the same thing - for now I am assuming each resort is treated separately. For instance, 200 out of 250 VWL points were used for an 11 month priority reservation, leaving 50 VWL points and 150 BCV points remaining. With a total of 400 points, we would expect to be able to bank up to 200 at the 50% window; but from my understanding we could only bank 100 - 25 from VWL and 75 from BCV. It would be different if the reservation were made inside the 7 month window, then the points could be targeted, leaving the resort poionts we prefer to bank available. I guess we will just have to treat each resort somewhat separately to avoid surprises. I imagine there are a lot of new multi-resort owners now that the BCV are open.

I think the technical answer is that the 50% is on the total for the year. Therefore if you're adding on say you own 200 and banked 100 then added on another 100 at less than 6 months, you could only bank another 50 as long as you were within the 50% window. They SHOULD make an exception for a new purchase but I'd get in in writing on the contract so talk to your guide.
