Hello all,

I was wondering if at QS and TS restaurants where there is soup available in addition to standard entrees, you are allowed to order the soup instead of an entree on the standard dining plan?

Sorry if the wording is a bit confusing!

Probably not...soups are usually considered appetizers and most places will not allow you to substitute an appetizer for an entree on the regular dining plan. The Disney-owned restaurants are the most flexible and they might be willing, but I would not count on it. Now, if the soup is considered an entree (like they have some entree salads), then you'd be fine.

I know at Chefs de France we were not allowed to substitute an appetizer for an entree. We were on the DxDDP and I wanted two appetizers, instead of an appetizer and an entree. They said we had to order exactly what the DxDDP stated (one appetizer, one entree, one dessert, and one beverage) as they get reimbursed by Disney and the system will not allow them to insert anything into the system but what the plan states (an appetizer may not be substituted for an entree).
