Ha Ha We usually go in July but this year I am taking my kids on a quick trip before school starts. Just wondering if it was relatively the same.

I doubt there's much difference with the second week of August. Value season returns August 15, but that's past the second week.

attendance is lower in the second week of August. PP notes that value season starts on the fifteenth. In our area, and much of the South, schools are already in seesion the second week of August.

I went to school in the DC area and school there didn't start until after Labor Day. But that was a long time ago.
