What do you guys think? We are casually looking at picking up enough points for a few nights a year at VGF on the resale market, but now that the resort is sold out with a waiting list, will every contract just be taken through ROFR?

Nope. They are most interested in selling Poly and Aulani now. It would be a zero margin on ROFR of VGF. A dart might hit it periodically but will probably be very rare.

I am of the opinion that VGF is the least likely resort to be bought back due to the high resale costs and the low margin to the direct cost.

Also i am of the opinion that the next few months will have low ROFR activity as they seem swamped by Poly sales.

Think of it this way: Poly probably cost them $30-$35 per point to build and the sell it for $165. They aren't going to buy back a VGF at $130/point to sell for $165. Instead, they're going to talk people who want to buy VGF into buying at the Poly.

Disney has bean counters who tells them when to ROFR. Several factors come into play including the direct wait list, size of contracts wanted, size of contract, banked points, and how much money is coming in on the active resorts. When sales slow and the new project is delayed, they seem to take back more contracts to keep their people busy.
