Snow in Vegas?

We are going to Vegas next week and will be in So. Cal the week after. I'd really like for DD3 to see some snow if there is any at all anywhere. Has anyone ever gone to Mount Charleston? We don't need to ski or anything, just to make a snow ball and snow angel would be ideal, maybe even a little trash can lid ride down a hill Let me know your thoughts or experiences, please. Thanks!

Mt Charleston has a long windy road up it. It may not be a fun drive. Also the season is early so don't count on there being lots of soft deep snow up there.

Also a trash bag works a lot better than a trash can lid. A piece of cardboard works for a while to.

Don't know if it is too late to warn you but there is no snow on the mountain yet, still too early and too warm, just wanted to give you a heads up.
